Hi, I'm booking a last minute vacation to Orlando at the end of this month. I've never stayed offsite before and have heard great things about Embassy. Any codes out there?

I just got this hotel today on Priceline for $45. I put in Lake Buena Vista area (Downtown Disney) and 3.5 stars. I think I could have probably got it for a few dollars less but I didn't want to chance it. I saw on another board that it is coming up frequently now using those criteria. For $45 I think it is a steal. I checked the rate just for curiosity and the cheapest rates for my dates is $245 for 2 nights. I paid $109 for 2 nights.

Maybe it's a deal. I've followed the Embassy Suites rates for weeks. The Lake Buena Vista hotel seems to have a lot of unhappy customers. The latest thing they are doing is requiring every guests to wear an armband to "prove" they belong at breakfast, pool, etc. Truly bizarre in my opinion. I'm thinking they have lost a lot of business to other hotels. All the other Embassy suites in the area that don't require this. I've called.:thumbsup2

If you decide not to priceline it, always check AAA rates at Hilton properties. Those rates generally beat the listed "best available" every time.;)
Oh, and rates generally go down as your dates come closer, unless they are totally booked. I rebook with Hilton all the time to get a better rate. It's more advantageous for me to book with them than places like priceline. I use the points I get for free stays. (No points for priceline, on the other hand, if you don't need/probably won't use free stays, the rates are really good.)

One other thing--be sure to check the rates at each property-LBV, International Drive, Jamaican Court and Downtown. (Or whichever ones are closest to where you want to be.) I've found they are all different. Also check the specials listed at each hotel. Sometimes great deals are "hidden" in there.

IMO, anytime I get a 3-1/2 star suite hotel with a made to order breakfast for $45, I got a great deal. The Comfort Inn LBV is asking $29 with no breakfast. You can sleep 6 at the Embassy Suites and you get 2 TVs.

We stayted at the Lake Buena Vista Embassy Suites on our honeymoon and just loved the hotel.

We are staying at POP in a couple of weeks, and if we could have gotten Embassy for $45 a nite, I would have jumped on it.

If you can get the Embassy Suites anywhere for $45 it is incredible. I would consider anything under a $100 a huge bargain. Free cook to order b-fast plus 2 hours of free drinks per night......it is also in a very good area. Anything at the LBV Embassy under $100 is a steal.

Is there any where on Priceline where you can specify a "suite" hotel? We'd love to use it but we definitely want a suite, not a single room.
