I'm in the process of making my yearly homemade chocolates for Christmas and I was wondering if anyone else made them this time of year...

I'm always looking for new ideas. I make a wonderful 'turtle' chocolate in white/dark/milk chocoate.

Any great suggestions would be appreciated! :cool1:

I dip about anything in chocolate...pretzel rods or Sams has cute holiday shapes, marshmallows (DS's fav), oreos, and I make turtles from scratch like you...can't be beaten. For the dipped items I might drizzle with a different chocolate or even add holiday sprinkles...think Goofy's Candy place in DD....lots of fun...great for little kids to help, too!

I make homemade scotch shortbread and dip them in chocolate, people seem to love them! I also make the coconut chocolate drops, rather big molds. I buy the toasted shredded fine coconut at the health food store for these, some milk, white, and some dark. I'm cheating this Christmas on my diet just to have a few!

I make chocolates every year, and every year I swear I will not do it again next year.

Peppermint bark is easy, festive and quite tasty too. Yum.
