We're considering a trip to Chicago to see Wicked at the Ford Center. I was wondering if we should get orchestra left seats toward the front or center balcony? (Assuming we have a choice...right now there are tickets available.) I tend to prefer to be in the balcony to avoid heads in my way and to get a full overview, but I've never been to a "real" theater before...only smallish ones. Would we need a telescope to see the stage from the balcony?:)

It depends on how far back you are in either case. If you are near the front of center balcony, that would probably by my first pick.

If you are closer to the center of the orchestra left, that would be good too.

I've seen the show three times and was lucky enough to sit orchestra level all three times. Two of the times we were orchestra left right around the middle (row M maybe?) ane it was great! Enjoy the show, it's fabulous!

The ones that are available now say they are orchestra left, but on the center aisle.

We love the Heimlich ride at CA! We were there July 17, 2005 too! I think we rode it 5 times.

I would go towards the center as well. What are the numbers of the seats? I would determine by that. Have fun, it is a great show.

The site I was looking at had Row E center balcony and then several Orchestra left starting at aisle toward center in rows up to around M. I'm just trying to decide what I want. It'll be a last minute decision if we go, so I want to be prepared. By the time we know for sure, it may be sold out.

We have seen it twice and the balcony is the way to go. The last time we went was before my DMom's knee surgery so she was in a wheelchair and we were under the balcony. We missed some of the action by being on the main floor.
