We are shopping for a used car. Is there anyway besides subscribing to the carfax site to get those reports cheaper?

I'll probably just break down and buy it, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something before I did.

Thanks!

Most of the reputable dealerships give you the CarFax report for free for cars they are selling.

Having said that, it has been my experience that a whole lot of things never get reported to CarFax.

Just google the VIN and see if anything comes up. Lots of the used car websites offer free reports, either from carfax or other services.
