Any Cheap Airfare sales for Easter Week fro NY?

The reason I am asking is because I have my tickets already. Bought them 6 months ago but now I hear Delta might go on strike the week I am to leave. I am thinking of rebooking on another airline but the prices are so high. Any last mintue sales out there yet?

First of all, I wouldn't worry about Delta going on strike. Secondly, you are very, very unlikely to find any discounted seats left on any airline for Easter week. You'd be lucky to find a flight that matched your dates and times. We too are flying Delta, and I have not one worry. Relax, you'll be fine!

I found a fare on JetBlue for $946 for 3 people for Easter week which isnt bad considering I've seen prices already at 500-600, but I decided to wait and see what happens. If they do strike, we'll just go in July when school is out for the summer even though it will be hot. I'll do what you said and not to worry.

I think you are safe for Easter... IF they go on strike (and I don't think they will, but...) it will be later in the month. The judge isn't even set to rule until mid April and then DL will immediately file for an injunction etc...

Thanks for the reply. As you can see, I am making myself crazy. I read that they have to have a ruling by April 15. I thought if the pilots can't get what they are asking for, then they will walk out the next day. I guess I was wrong.

There is a lot of "posturing" going on. The truth is the union hasn't even had the strike vote yet. They are "suppose" to do that on April 4, but I have heard rumors that it might get delayed... Anyway, I don't think they will walk 4/15 but I also don't think there will be a ruling then. The court seems unwilling to actually MAKE decisions in this case!

You seem to be well informed. You have a better understanding of all thie legalities than than I do. I will check this thread again after April 4. Maybe you can help me understand what's happening.
