Any chance for Free Dining in Jan 2009??

I currently have reservations for 1/20-1/26. Anyone think free dining will be offered??

Disney has never offered free dining in January. So far it has been a strictly late Aug - Sept deal

I'm not holding my breath but it would certainly make things a lot easier on the budget, especially with DS14 and DS12!! We've got reservations 2/6-2/13 at Pop.

Doubtful but they did offer free dining in Nov and Dec this year for the first time ever. Join us on the January 2009 code thread and wait with the rest of us!

With the economy how it is right now, I am hoping for something good. I know it has only been offered around Sept-Oct in the past, but this year, they opened up a lot more dates. Here's to hoping....

I really hoping that they offer something good. free dining would be so wonderful, with the economy disney might really shock us. but any kind of discount would really help out. here is to wishing with the rest of you. maybe we might be lucky and have our wish of a million dreams.

As much as I would love it if Disney did, I don't think it is likely. It makes sense that they offered this "indirectly" at the end of the year, to help boost their year end sales. January however is typically slower for Disney, so they may not be as incented to offer more than what they usually do and this is probably reflected in their sales projections. I could be wrong, does anyone know when Disneys' fiscal year ends?

Disney's fiscal year ends in September. So the free dining at the end of calendar year 2008 is really the first quarter of fiscal year 2009.

I think we had free dining in January 2007. I think it was offered in November or maybe even December. We were at BWI and our friends were at POP.

Christmas is even included as long as you start the stay by Dec 20 so I don't think Jan is such a far fetched idea either!! I think they frist are trying with room discounts like the fall and then the FD. I was shocked that both Thanksgiving and Christmas could be included if you booked before the holiday and carried over it.

The previous poster is correct - the Oct/Nov/Dec free dining offer was available only to Disney Visa cardholders or to those who received targeted cards or emails with nontransferable PIN numbers. They were not offered to the general public.

AP discount availability in January is not good, I am betting against a general public free dining code. I don't think it will be necessary to fill rooms.
