Live in a tiny town southeast of Champaign-Urbana called Newman. Work on Campus in the College of Engineering. Love my DVC and the Illini!!!

I am above mentioned wife of OP. We actually live in a small town just east of CU - St. Joseph. I do know where Newman is. It's a Small World After All!

I live in Washington, IL. About 1 hour and 30 minutes from Champaign. My sister lives in Champaign, so I am in that area a lot.

penquin77: I don't come into Champaign that way, I use 130, but I do go down 45 alot to the Walmart in Savoy. Where do you work on that side of town? I am so glad to hear there are downstate DVC members. All of the member meets seem to be held in the Chicago area.

wdw1014: I have been to Washington, IL. I have a sister that lives in Bloomington and we have been to the gambling boat in Peoria a few times. I also have a nephew who is a police officer in Peoria.

Mickandmin: We live about 10 minutes from the boat, but don't go often 'cause I need all the money I can get to feed my Disney Addiction. My brother is a Peoria Firefighter, I wonder if he has ever ran into your nephew?

So, how long have you guys been DVC Members. We bought back in 1996, just a small contract at OKW. A few years later we did an add on to BW and soon after that another add on to Vero Beach. I sure wish I had the money for an AKL add on, but DS is in college so that is a pipe dream.

We have been in DVC since April of last year but we love it. Hopefully AKL and BCV will be soon added on to our home away from home.

We toured OKW when it first opened, but had three children, 1 in college and the other two close behind. Didn't think we could swing it. We waited until October 2003 to tour again. We purchased at SSR and had added on there twice. Sure have enjoyed our vacations. We are going to HH for Thanksgiving. Leaving tonight and can't wait to get there. We should try to meet sometime in Champaign and visit about our DVC.

Have a great Thanksgiving! We'll be driving tonight and tomorrow so wish us luck with the traffic.

Not central...but hey, ya'll took our coach a few years ago. Checking in from southern Illinois...10 miles east of Coach Weber's old school...SIU-C. A very dear friend of DS's grandma lives in Champaign...the husband retired from U of I's forestry department.
