Any Castle Reviews yet since 2/1?????

Suzy and Perla flitter around the tables at the beginning of the presentation. It's not a character dining experience. They are only out for a short time each time.

They do recognize celebrations! The Fairy Godmother asks for a show of hands, and then everyone sings a celebration song to the tune of "Happy Birthday." My guess is that if you want more attention directed to you- make noise or wear a big birthday hat. :)

Oh, and I have a great tip to add if you want the best experience with the characters, try to get the last possible seating. We had only 3 families tonight for the last show, and it was so much fun because they got personal attention- we danced, we gave lots of hugs; it was great. They were so excited.

Angie what time is the last seating normally? Sounds like you had a wonderful night

Has anyone done the lunch yet?? We can't be at dinner for dd's 13th birthday, but she and her friend would love to have an early lunch at CRT. So...any word yet on how the new lunch is working out??

Wow! For the price hike I am a little dissapointed in the reviews. I hope lunch and breakfast are better but it not making much sense. More characters, wands for less money isn't that backwards???

Dinner is so expensive now because the pictures are included in the price of your meal. Dinner is not meant to be a character dining meal for kids and therefore they don't get the wands/swords because that is only for the part of the presentation that the princesses do at breakfast and lunch. It's all to do with this wishing thing the characters do for a 'magical moment' during the breakfast and lunch seatings.
As Angiebelle stated, so many things revolve around 'time' with character dining. The princesses only have an hour to do their rounds of the restaurant and with almost 50 tables to see, you can do the math and find that that's a little less than a minute per table. I know it's silly and Guests never understand why their interaction is rushed but that is it. As I have posted on another thread regarding Akershus, if you don't mind a minute a princess then do the dining but as far as CRT goes, I would think you would have to just soak up the whole castle atmosphere and anything else that comes with it is icing on the cake.

We went to the Cinderella Dinner on 2/4/06. First let me say that my 4yo GD was thrilled with the whole experience. Having said that, the 4 adults in our party weren't all that impressed. We all had different appetizers, entrees and desserts. Although the food was good, I would not characterize it as excellent. The "performance" by the Fairy Godmother, Perla and Suzy was a bit lackluster and, as stated previously, they flitted about so quickly that pictures were difficult to get. The photos in the lobby were really lovely and Cinderella's interaction with my GD was really nice. It's an experience I'm glad we had but would probably not return again. FYI -- my GD met Cinderella at Toon Town two days later and this interaction was extraordinary.

Thanks for the updates everyone! All in all it sounds like a wonderful evening :wizard:
