I was just wondering if any of you girls are doing a Disney Cruise Wedding like I am???

CCBrideDenise, congrats on your upcoming wedding. How exciting!

I was considering doing a vow renewal on the Disney Cruise Line this year for my 22nd wedding anniversary. Sadly, my husband's new job is way too time-consuming and a cruise is out of the question (as is any sort of decent vacation, drats).

With that being said, please do share your plans with us here on the Dis. I've run across very few people who have experienced a cruise wedding. I would love to hear more stories about those affairs (the photos that I have seen, especially on Castaway Cay, have been beautiful).

I myself am not getting married on the cruise line, but I was on a 7 day cruise and there was a fellow DIS member who did get married. We all saw her coming back to the ship on a golf cart that was all decorated in wedding stuff and said JUST MARRIED on the back. It was so cute and she looked as happy as she could be. I have heard great things about getting married on the island and if you can cut your guests down to the minium of 18 then I say have a great cruise wedding... We thought about it as we love the Cruise line and are going on 2 cruises this year, but we just can't cut the guest list down... I'm not sad though cause they can't get Cinderellas carriage over to the island and I have to have the carriage.... :rotfl2: It is just so adorable....

Happy Planning!!!!

My daughter is doing the vow renewal on the Feb 10, 2007 7 day Disney Magic Western Caribbean. The vow renewals are only done on the Thursday at sea and done in the Sessons lounge. We really wanted to do it on the deck but we were told no go. So far there are 34 of us going and I think it will get up to about 45 by the time all is said and done. Both of my daughters are in the Air Force and both of their husbands are in the Army so planning is crazy! The one that is doing the vow renewal is currently in Tech school so the planning has fallen on me. We have people coming from CA, MI, Korea, NC, & FL. I have found out so much information from the cruise forum on this board. I would like to find more people going on the same cruise so some of the smaller kids can get some penpals.
