Hello fellow Canadians - and congrats to those who have won special wishes!

Is there anything that increases your odds of getting a YOAMD prize? Should we be extra-friendly to the CM's? Wear crazy clothes? We are going with DD4, DS2, DH and MIL/FIL (it is their first trip - so we'd like it to be special for them!).

From what I've read, the prizes are given out at specific times at specific attractions, so nothing one can do would affect that. But, CMs also have the authority to give small things or let kids participate in things to get certificates, so I guess being nice wouldn't hurt!

for the mail in winners, did Disney contact you with "skill testing question" or did you just receive something in the mail?

They called me with my question. "Would you like me to hold for you while you get pencil/paper?" "I can give you as much time as you need" It was a pretty straightforward addition/subtraction deal and I didn't even need a calculator! Grade 4 math rules!
My pin/lanyard set came yesterday - two months since my phone call!

'Star Car' here. Which means we got to park nice and close to the front at MGM.

Well you have to admit, they've been pretty creative with the little dreams they've been coming up with. I think being in the "Star Car" section would be pretty awesome after a long day at the parks.
