Just wondering if it has hit the world yet....I would love to try some!

I know I ordered it once from the CS in China. That was a couple of years ago.
Did you check out the menus at allears?

grovee: basically, Bubble tea is tea with tapioca pearls in it. I'm sure someone can give a better description though!

Yes - they still have it at the CS in China! The Lotus Blossom, or Lotus Flower, can't remember the name.

OOOH, we love bubble tea!

and pixiechick is right - it is a tea with added flavor (lychee, mango, green apple are some good ones) and BIG tapioca pearls and/or gummy strips (the consistancy of a thick jello) and sometimes I've had it with creamy flavors added.

If you get a chance to try it, you should! Can't wait for September....

I had had it in China but the only flavor available was chocolate and was disappointing. I love the stuff and there is certainly better to be had, but not at Disney.

I also had the chocolate bubble tea in the China pavilion in Dec 2005. Here's a pic:

The bubble q tea available at China in WDW is very limited. Usually there is only one or two flavors to choose from, not the full compliment of choices found elsewhere.

Also, the tapioca is not taken up through the traditional straw, rather a smaller straw with a spoon on the end of it.

I was speaking with a CM at the Lotus Blossom about the drink and he said he was "embarrassed" by the small offerings.

Mmmmmm, bubble tea.

They just have the one flavor at Lotus Blossom, chocolate. It pretty much just tastes like chocolate milk!

There's finally a place here in our city that sells it, so I can get my fix whenever!

Lotus Blossom used to have lychee, chocolate, and a third flavor (mango?) that escapes me. The lychee was really good. Then, sometime in 2005 I think, they dropped down to just chocolate. I agree that it's much less impressive.

In downtown Orlando on 50 (colonial) is Lollicup, a real Boba tea kind of place, and dozens of varieties.
