Any Black Friday specials on DVR?

We are looking to buy a DVR soon. I haven't looked online yet to check Black Friday specials to see if any DVR's will be on sale. Checking to see if any of you know yet if there are any BF specials on any DVR's. We have local, Best Buy, Walmart (I did check Walmart circular), Radio Shack, Sam's, Sears.

Another question, I have 3 tv's, will I need to buy 3 DVR's or is there a way to get 1 and use a splitter or something to use between all 3 tv's?

Have not seen any DVR. But you can get them a dime a dozen now a days. Blue Rays are the things you will find on sale.

Are you looking for a Tivo or something that wouldn't require a subscription/lifetime service? Cable/antenna or satellite? Tivo has their Roamio/mini setups--I think you only have to pay for service on the main unit (but you should check).

I have cable and want something that I can record shows when we aren't home or if we are watching something and want to record another channel.

Tivo works with cable, and I love mine--wouldn't even consider using the cable company's dvr. They're not really cheap though--you have to buy a subscription with the box. So if a box is say $250, its also about $15/month. Lifetime service is pretty expensive, but I just finally got it on mine (at a discount since it's an old box). Sometimes people buy off ebay to get a cheaper, used unit with lifetime service.

You can search for black friday deals here. Currently there are 3 deals for Tivo, but more might be added later. When I searched for "dvr", all it showed was a bunch of home security systems.

Yes, when I was doing a search for DVR"s I kept getting home security systems.. So getting the Tivo I have to have an additional subscription just to record tv shows? Is there any other DVR's that doesn't require an additional monthly subscription?
