Any BIG LOVE fans here? I'm addicted!

We have never had HBO but do now with digital cable and DH and I are SO hooked on this new series called Big Love. It's outrageous! It's the best show I've seen in a long time. I thought I would HATE it because of the polygamy angle, but it's such a great cast you just get addicted!

Tell me I'm not alone! I'm dying to discuss Nikki and Margene and Roman, that snake, etc.

Me, too!!! I am so glad there are Diser's I can talk to about it-no one I know watches it. I think the cast and story lines are excellent!

I haven't made up my mind about it yet. For the most part I enjoy it but some things just bug me. For one, I have never been a fan of Chloe Sevigny (Nikki) and her character does nothing to improve that opinion (although I think she plays the part well.)

I love it, and my Dh is even getting hooked. At first he whined that this was going to be another Desperate Housewives (a show I like that he hates, but has to watch anyway).

Then, last week when On-Demand had the following weeks episode on it, he said we'd wait until Sun, cuz he'd rather watch it in hi-def.

I like it too !! Just the oddness, like Six Feet Under. Its a unique situation and ultimately a show about the characters.
I like Jeanne Tripplehorn's character, she seems to have to deal with the most. How could she go from having her husband for 10+ years to having to share him with 2 other women.

Huge Big Love fans here! We look forward to every episode and DVR them so we can watch them again for things we might have missed.

Nicki -- yikes! Her spending is out of control ... but why hasn't Bill discovered this yet!? I mean, he has no clue!?!?!? Please!!!!!!

And, Margene -- waaaaay too young and hasn't sowed her wild oats enough yet to be strapped w/the two kids, etc. She's just a kid (see how she acts w/Barb's oldest son!?). Yikes!

The first week I wasn't sure about this one. The next week I was hooked. When they showed #3 on monday I knew I had it bad! Even DH who swore he wasn't going to ge sucked into this one was disappointed that they didn't show #4 early. All I can say is WOW! I agree its got the same tone as six feet under which I loved!

I think Bill does know about Nikki's spending, he's just in denial about it. Remember he left $100 on the nightstand like she was some hooker or something?

I actually really like Margie. She's so young and in so far over her head she'll never see daylight again. I can see with her past how she got sucked into this but what would possess the 1st wife (what's her name anyway??) to agree to add more wives after so many years of monogamy??? I don't buy the cancer excuse. Heck, I've got that and I still wouldn't let my Dh marry another woman, well....maybe if she cooked and cleaned I might could be convinced

Yeah, Roman and Nikki laughing on the bed gave me the heebie-jeebies. Nikkie is awful! I don't think he even loves Bill.

Margene is so young! She is kinda clueless.

Love Bill's mom and dad and the arsenic poisoning. I think Roman poisoned him, though.

The story goes that the first wife was diagnosed with cancer and while she was ill Nikki came to live with them to help with the house and kids. Then Bill married her. I think he felt really sorry for Margie and she turned his crank too so he took her on too.

And yes, I agree, Roman is the one poisoning Bill's dad. But why??

So THAT's what Roman meant by, "glad I could help.? He gave them Nikki? Gawd, he's a creep!!! The possibilities are endless in this show. I don't believe there are upscale polygamists-does anyone else? Totally improbable that someone like Bill could pull it off. Thank goodness we didn't have to see any more of Bill's bottom or impromptu 'relations' with his wives. I was getting tired of that. I want more info on the "families." I like Nikki's mother, she says "you too Barb, just give her a good whack, it's all she'll listen to sometimes."

Well there's that too but mainly Roman has Bill by the gnarlies because he loaned him the money to start his first store in exchange for a % of the profits. For the 2nd store Bill made it a franchise thinking Roman wouldn't be able to get a chunk of it but he strong armed his way in and forced the bookkeeper to write him out a check. Now that he's married to Nikki he really can't get away.
