Any benefit to keeping BOG?

I made BOG reservations for 8:00 when I thought MK opened at 9:00. Of course the park hours have now changed to be 8:00 that day. Is there any benefit to keeping this reservation? Will I be let in any earlier than everyone else? Thinking I should go ahead and cancel them.

If you want to eat there, you will be let in a little earlier to get to breakfast. If you want to do rides instead of breakfast, cancel. Personally, I'd cancel, but I'm not a big breakfast fan.

If the goal was ppo then you have lost that. If you want to eat there keep it.

I would pass. Great touring at that hour

Don't worry about canceling the ADR. If you really want to experience BoG, keep trying to get a dinner reservation. BoG feels completely different at dinner time. During breakfast and lunch it has a big, crowded, chaotic feel to it - like any other very large QS restaurant. Yes, you get to eat in the castle but it just doesn't feel the same to me as dinner. However, if you aren't concerned about rides at rope drop and would rather not spend the money for dinner at BoG, you could keep it so you can experience eating in the castle. I think the food is a bit more interesting at lunch so you could also keep trying for a lunch ADR.

We were there a few weeks ago and decided for one of our days to keep our 8:00 reservation for a few reasons. However, you do NOT get in any significant time before the crowd. The lined us up the the left of the entrance and then let us go in from the left at 745am and the crowd in from the right at 7:45 :) . The only benefit was that we got to wait in a line to show a piece of paper to get into Fantasyland but you have to go in over near Liberty Tree Tavern, so by the time we waited in that line and got in and got to Fantasyland it was already 8:00 and the crowd met us there. We weren't trying to ride anything at that time so it was ok, but I know a lot of people were upset. Just a heads up.

I strongly disagree. If your goal was to get to 7DMT ahead of the crowd, you have lost that advantage.
If you want to eat at BOG keep it.
If you do not want to eat there cancel it, so that some other family that does want to eat there has the opportunity to. Keeping an ADR you have no intention of using is pretty selfish, IMHO

@Hopefully I didn't word that well. I didn't mean that the OP should NOT cancel the ADR if there aren't planning on keeping it. I meant that they shouldn't stress about cancelling a hard to come by ADR. I agree that not canceling ADRs you have no intention of using is selfish.

You'd be better off heading straight to the busy attractions as by the time you finish breakfast the lines will be a lot longer. It's annoying when you lose a PPO ADR, I've been there and feel your pain, it happened to us at Crystal Palace a few years ago.
