Need to buy our AP for next year, and wondered if there are any deals out there like the Premium offer they had a couple years ago (get Premium for around the same price as the Gold)?? Our trip is next Nov--so would it make sense to buy the voucher now---or wait a few months to see what offers are coming? Not even sure if anything is rumored at this point?

No mention of any new deals. iIRC, the last increase came In February.

They usually give some kind of hint at the annual meeting. There wasn't any hint at all about park admission.

Yeah I thought most offers in the past came out around this time of year

I was just wondering the same thing, as I have a few trips coming up for 2019 and I am at that DVC Gold AP “tipping point”.

I guess the days of Platinum passes @ $399 are long gone.....

yea, that ship has sailed. I don’t expect any discounts. With the new attractions and crowds, they don’t need to offer us anything

Unless tourism takes an unexpected nosedive, and all the new stuff planned for the next two years flops, then I wouldn't expect any major discounts. We were there December 4 to 11, the parks were quite busy.

I suspect the Florida and DVC pass holders were getting their visits in since the blackout dates started yesterday (I think).

Next AP offer will be when Universal opens Epic Univers.
Maybe. It depends upon what kind of affect it has on Disney attendance. Everyone with young kids knew they wanted to see the Harry Potter stuff. No one really knows anything specific about Epic Universe. Details are few, right now just "promises" of amazing and state of the art. But there have been a few Disney flops that also met that definition. It doesn't even look like it is physically attached to the rest of the Universal property. Hmmm....could this be what the Bombardier monorail order is for? Doubtful, though, as it would need public right of ways and such. Bus transportation...or fully freestanding? If it does well, we may see some good prices at Disney, while they quickly design a 5th gate. They'll want to keep DVCers on site, as much as possible.

With SWGE jsut opened, the new Mickey and Minnie ride, Guardians of the Galaxy, Tron, the EPCOT rennovation and the 50th Anniversary coming up, I doubt we will see many if any discounts.
Hoping I'm wrong.

if they ran it again, it would be $699 now, cost of a Gold. I always get Gold , don’t go around Easter or Christmas, don’t do water parks so Platinum Plus for price of Gold didn’t help me. The cost of a non-member Platinum is now $1123 plus tax. Access to Gold is a huge discount.

I agree. I would love it if they offered silver pass. I could make that work!

Same for me. I’d love to see just a Gold at $399. But wouldn’t we all.

Too much going on like you said. and attendance is strong, they do not need a promotion at this time.

I had the same thought about the monorail, but as you pointed out, they do not own all the land they need to run it, but it would be great.

I am fancifully hoping that Disney announces a 5th gate as we near the opening of Epic Universe in an attempt to steal some of Universal's Thunder/rain on their parade. I don't know if they will every do one, but that would be a good time. I also like to think they at least have a few designs that are at least somewhat far along

I’m guessing that’s one reason they don’t.
Too many people would “make it work” and it could curb DVC demand seasons.
Also, they know you’re coming anyway, so why would they leave money on the table for the non blackout days?

actually there are a lot of DVC members that couldn’t buy this pass. Members who work visit only in the summer. I have one daughter who’s a member who only goes during holidays and summer. My other daughter avoids those times. Needless to say, my one daughter doesn’t travel with us and the other one does. Only us older individuals with no school age kids would probably use a silver pass. We don’t do easter orChristmas and never summer.

Indeed, but I also see the issue of Disney leaving $$$ on the table. If the Silver people were going to come that time anyway, why would they give you a discount?
I think it’s all about manipulating crowds.

This is the correct answer. 🙂

Last time there was a promo was when Volcano Bay opened, they gave us the ticket with water parks included for the price of gold.
