Any AP discounts at hotels in sept.?

I am moving to CA and will be buying an annual pass, My fortieth anniversary is Sept 7 and I want to stay at Grand Californian that weekend and eat at Blue Bayou.

I wondered if it would be likely there would be a room discount for that time at that hotel if I buy my passes ahead of time. Or should I try AAA or what?

Last year they had fall AP rates that were very good. I can't exactly remember when they came out, maybe late june or early July. You only have to have an annual pass when you check in (or like we did buy one at check-in) Watch these boards and you will see a posting when the rates come out if they do this year.
