Any Annual Pass Holders?

We get passes and go usually twice a year. We got 4 uses our of our passes last time, got it in October, then when in December, April and May. We'll let it expire this year but are planning on buying another in May '09 for a trip then, we'll likely go in October '09 and April the following year.

If you go more than once a year, it's definitely worth it.

We found that 10 days is not the break even point any longer due to the price increases of the last few years. We just came back from a 15 day trip (it was originally going to be shorter), and for the 1st time we priced out regular tickets as we always have APs. We found that for 10 days, park hopping, expiring tickets, they were cheaper than the DVC AP. We were originally only going for 10 days, and so regular, park hopping tickets were cheaper than APs for 10 days or under.

Once you go over 10 days though, you have no choice but to purchase an AP as the UK 14 day tickets aren't available over here, but on a per day cost, the regular tickets would be cheaper if they were available for days 11 and 12. Once you get into 12+ park days, we found the daily cost with the AP to be cheaper.

We always get 2 trips on our APs, so we have at least 15-20 park days per year, and that makes it very worthwhile for us to have APs.

After reading my post, it now looks confusing, sorry about that! Tiger :)
Hi Tiger, I was comparing prices of tickets with Water Park and more which also include Disney Quest, etc. The price for Park Hoppper & Water Park and more was pretty pricey for 10 days.

Sorry I got lost at the tired of Disney part???? Is that even possible?:confused3

Actually we own DVC and have started buying AP because if we use them twice, they have more than paid for themselves, and that is just in the savings vs passes, not including all the additional discounts.

Where can I find prices for Annual Passes? I've looked on the Disney site, but haven't found them. We are going to Orlando in Oct and again in Nov, both are offsite stays, the Oct. one being a business conference, and Nov we are only planning 3 days in the parks. Do you think the AP would be worth to my family of 5 (1 child), or should we look at the no expiry option?

It would depend on how many days you plan on going to the parks.

I believe our cut off mark was 10 days, but this is based on DVC discounted price.
