We (Family of 4) are travelling for Easter and our FP+ become available in the next few days. Can anyone suggest any improvements to the below:

5th April 60+0 days (arrive late after parks closed)

6th April - 60days +1 - Animal Kingdom - We'll be jetlagged so plan to get in early. Aim is to get a FP+ for FoP. Rope Drop Navi

60+2 - Magic - FP+ for Mine Train

60+3 Hollywood - Get there early to try for RotR. FP+ for Millenium Falcon. Rope Drop Slinky

60+4 Animal - FP+ for FoP; Rope Drop Navi (if we like it the first time)

60+5 Magic = FP+ for Mine Train

60+6 - Waterpark in am; Animal in pm - FP+ for FoP

60+7 - Hollywood Get there early to try for RotR. FP+ for Slinky. Rope Drop Millenium

60+8 - Epcot - Not too worried. (We are going to Universal today so we will get some early FP+s, do them and leave)

Any advice on changes? In all cases the plan is to get to park before opening except on 60+6 when we will go in the afternoon. Our overall strategy is to focus on getting the Tier 1s for the trip and the FP+s to be in teh 10-1pm ares. Then everyday we go bak to room (at Swan) to rest and then go to a different park The afternoon parks we will play by ear depending on FP availabioty and what people fancy.

Questions:

  • 60+1 - Is it a waste of time hoping to get FP+ for FoP that day in the morning/early afternoon? We will be jetlagged and up very early so though we could make use of EMH. Don't want to do Hollywood that day because if people get tired in afternoon may need to head off and dont want to get stuck waiting for RotR. IF not, what would you suggest here?
  • Hollywood - should we FP+ Millenium and Rope Drop Slinky or vice versa? At the moment we have done one of each but is there a better strategy? Also if we do one of each which way round? Does one of these tend to run out before the other?
  • Our plan is to just book the Tier 1 FP+ when they open up to us and work round those since the Tier 2s all look fine at the 60+ day mark
  • Mickey's Runaway Railway is going to mess up our Hollywood Plans but lets wait and see!
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Why are you only aiming for 1 fp+ per day? Your plan.to.just pick one than wait on the rest worries me due to times that work for your plans will most likely be gone. Also work backwards on fastpass day. Fop +1 will be hard.. I would aim for it later in there trip .

If anything rope drop fop not Navi. If your gonna be there super early.

Sorry I wasnt clear - the plan is to get all 3 FPs but the plan is to get all the Tier 1s first for the whole trip and then work round them. We have a plan for all days but like all plans they wont survive first contact with the enemy! So we will get all Tier 1 passes as soon as availability opens. Then (ie a couple of hours later) we will go back to each day and fill in the Tier 2 rides. For example my 60+1 day s strategy involves an FoP FP+ at 11.30am. If I cant get it, or I get a time that is very different then I will adjust the Tier 2s accordingly but there is no real rush to do that when we will still be >60 day mark.

How long woudl the queue be for FoP if we are there at rope drop - we wont be running! going at "average speed"

I think it sounds good. I had a SD FP made for my trip before SR was an option and had the same question about what is a priority. I would expect to wait an hour for whichever ride you don’t FP and also factor in Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway train will be open then also if you have any interest in it.

I think with HS just make a list of what you want to do most to least and plan the best you have with the info available today, keep checking the news for changes before you go.

Fop rope drop could be as fast as walk on with only the show wait or 60 min. Remember they usually let ppl in before park open so you would need to be at ak 45-60 min before listed time.

When I booked my last trip we did 60+6 than 60+5 and so on to get the harder fast passes fast. We ended up with 2 AK days due to landing 2 FOP fast passes. So your tier 1 plan is good but don't wait hours imo. Should have your ideal plan planed out and if you swap days you swap days or time. All this could be done at 7:10am than you have 60 days to.move things around if you want.

My original plan was to go in reverse order but now I am thinking that 3-4mins shouldnt make a difference for (say) SR at 60+7 but could be make or break for FoP at 60+1

Fop 60+1 won't be there 3 days before you even book your fast passes. That 4 min does matter. Only my opinion tho.

We did our FP before the Star Wars became available. We had more trouble getting SDD than FOP. My daughter and I split the days and we both worked on getting the FP at exactly 7:00. We did the Tier 1 FP first and then went back and filled in the days. We got FOP at 60 +3 and +6. We got SDD at 60 + 4. We couldn't get SDD for 60, but were able to get it later, a few days after our FP day. Good Luck!
