I know I saw a post about one of the hotel restaurants having a kids play area with legos etc... and I can not find it for the life of me?

I am also looking for information on the HArd Rock Kids club? Anyone used it? Is it ok for our varying ages, twin 4 year olds, twin 7 year olds, and one 10 year old? Does club level sign you up for this? can you tell I am clueless?

We will be there 5 days, so we have plenty of time to take everything slow.

Any Universal advice would be appreciated..

Thanks!!!:wave2:

You're probably thinking about the "Kids Crib" at the Kitchen at HRH. Islands Dining Room at RPR has a kids area for a very inexpensive evening buffet, but not much in the way of toys.

All hotels have kids programs and if you stay at opne hotel, your kid can go to one of the others for the kids program.

In Universal, your younger kids can probably spend the entire day in Woody Woodpecker's KidZone.

Kelly is right, they can play all day in the Woody Woodpecker area.

We ate at the Islands last time. They had a kid buffet set up in a little room with kids sized tables and chairs. They had this big bed set up thing (hard to describe) with cartoons playing. It was one of the quietest meals we had. The kids buffet was only $3.99 or something. The adult prices made up for it a little. Hit it on the right night and Scooby and Shaggy might be there.

The kids club is for kids 4 and up. I think we heard here that it is $10 for the first kid and $8 for each additional. I think this includes dinner.

The kids' club at the Hard Rock is called Lil' Rocks and my kids loved it! My kids were 10 and 7 the first time they went (and again the next year at 11 and 8). Lots of things for them to do-- games, computers, Playstation, videos, etc. They also have a small outdoor (fenced in) playground for the younger kids. What my older son liked (and that they don't do at any of the Disney kids' clubs) was that they actually took the kids outside on the great big lawn and let them play tag and touch football. The counselors were great with the kids and I always felt there were enough counselors for the number of kids in the club. (I didn't always have this feeling at WDW. One night at Neverland at the Poly, there were 99 kids and WAY too few counselors! In fairness, my kids and I thought Sandcastle Club at BC and Cubs' Den at WL were excellent.) You get a pager from them when you leave so you can be contacted if necessary. The kids get snacks like popcorn while they're at the club but dinner, if you choose, is extra. (We fed the kids before bringing them in to keep the price down.)

I really couldn't tell you if there was any special connection between Lil' Rocks and Club Level because we just had a standard room. We just called down to make a reservation and it was all set.

Hope this helps. I'm sure your kids will enjoy themselves.

My kids loved the pool at the HRH plus the underwater music. Fave places - Seuss Landing - Cat-in-the-hat and onefishy-twofishy - they also loved the Camp Jurassic play area as well as Woodywoodpeckers - plus MIB, and all the Marvel Character Meets. We didn't actually take advantage of the kids club (they were 8 and 6) mainly because we could take them everywhere we wanted to go and they were happy to play in the kids areas whilst daddy took advantage of FOTL and rode the Hulk and DD!;) Apart from the coasters and BTTF - they did just about everything else and enjoyed all the restaurants in the evening too.

Selina - thanks for the information. We'll be at HRH July 15-20 with our kids who are 7, 5 and 4. I was a little worried that it might be too "hip" for them. We are planning to try the Camp Lil Rock one night since we'll be at Emeril's and I don't think the kids will want to sit two hours for a dinner. Then it's on to WDW!

Thanks for the info. I wish I could actually take mine into a restaurant, But as of yet, the two little ones are very unreliable. I am afriad almost all are meals will be poolside at HRH. Hopefully the food from the beach club is palatable.;)

You mention the Marvel characters were would you usually find them.. right in super hero Island?

Thanks for the detailed information on the kids club. It was very helpful. I am happy to hear there is a little outdoor area, the little ones will love that. To be honest the only kids club we have used was the one at AKL Simbas club house. And none of the three kids liked it( 6,6, and 9 at the time) In fact we had reservations for the following evening and none of them wanted to go back, Nothing was actually wrong they just didn't enjoy it. We will give HRH's club a try this time. Thanks again for your information.:wave2:

My kids loved the food at the Beach Club at HRH. They especially liked the pizza and quesadillas. In fact one night DH and I went to Citywalk and the kids begged us to let them order food from the Beach Club. Since my kids were 12 and 14 at the time, we said yes (and then were happy to have an adults only meal :) )

TwinMom- This is the time and place to take your kids to restaurants. It is a family theme park and all of the restaurants (except Emeril's and maybe Bob Marley) are kid friendly. Go and enjoy and let people clean up after you. You are on vacation!!!

The superheros's can be found at certain times of the day - 2pm was always a good time for us - but check the times - and they roll up and pose for meet and greets- Spiderman by Spiderman, etc.

Thanks Selina, the super heros are a big priority on this trip so we have to make sure to catch them!

Zaksmom... I am not sure the other diners would like having my crew next to them! The little ones are just out of the nap stage but, go to bed for the night at 6:45. So this should be interesting to see how they do at night in general!
