We are going to BWV's(2 bedroom) in May. We plan on stopping at Goodings and checking our bags etc. and heading to Epcot for the afternoon. Will BWV hold our (non perishable of course) groceries with our luggage with no problem??? They will be in little grocery bags. Is Net grocer still available? What about cost? Please let me know how you all have done this...this is my first BWV visit!!!!
Also what are the chances of an early check in? I am expecting a 4:00 check in but I am still hoping against hope we could get in earlier.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!
:D

They have obviously seen it all at BWV. I did give them all my groceries (including persh) as it was only supposed to be about an hour. They did get me my room quicker though (with early check-in)

Good luck

Yes, all the DVC resorts (including BWV) will hold your groceries, including the perishable ones, until your room is ready.

I would recommend stopping at either the Winn Dixie near Goodings or another store like Publix or Albertsons, as Goodings prices are definitely on the high side. (If you turn right out of the Crossroads shopping center where Goodings is, Winn Dixie is just up the road on the right.)

I agree with SamR about shopping somewhere other than Goodings. I remember thinking that the prices are so high, we might as well eat out! :p

I used netgrocer in November and on past trips and it was great!

We were just at the new Winn-Dixie this past week. What a nice store.

easy to get to too, and you don't have to mess with all the traffic around goodings.

They also have Krispy Kremems sold by the box.

Herc.

we had tiffany cars stop at goodings on the way, they were the only store open at 11:45 at night!!! the prices were a little high, but not over the top. the store is very clean and convenient. Plus they had a lot of goumet snack type foods which were a nice addition!!! After we were checked in and going to our room, (we were at OKW) the CM said if you ever need to get back to the grocery store, just go out to the front desk, (again late at night) and they would be glad to drive you out. We did this and it was great, just gave them a nice tip!!!! I guess she would rather be doing something than nothing!!!

Netgrocer, Netgrocer, Netgrocer

And pack a softcooler of frozen meat for the week, check it under the plane or in your car enroute!

How does the Netgrocer work? We are renting points for BWV's...will they stll send it? Do they just need our names and arrival dates? Have any of you bought fruit or luncheon meats thru them??? I guess it depends on the expense and quality if we do use them. Any thoughts? Thanks to all who responded!!!!:D

If you are driving from the Orlando Airport (MCO) via 417 south, then it is very convenient to stop at the Albertson's located at the Orange Blossom Trail exit. There is a $0.50 toll to exit, but the exit/entrance is directly in front of the shopping center.

The store has a good selection of items.
