I finally won at Sky Auction, for one week in a 1 bedroom suite at Celebration World Resort. I read all the reviews at Trip Advisor, and I am wondering if anyone has advice on any requests I should make? such as a particular building, or stay away from __?__, or what is close to the pool, or what is noisy, or where do you get a nice view, etc?

We are going to Orlando Dec 13 - 28. We will be staying elsewhere 12/13-12/17 (don't have a place yet), then at Celebration 12/17-12/24, then going to Sarasota/Clearwater areas for a few days of relaxation before going back to cold Wisconsin.

thanks for any information and advice. ~Amy

I am having a hard time winning auctions at Sky Auction, and I have been trying for almost three months now. I'm wondering if there may be other similar auction sites with condo units like Sunterra Polynesian Isles, Vistana Resort, etc. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks~

What week are you trying to get? 2 bedroom??

I might be able to help...
I did win at Sky Auction, but by the time they sent me the certificates, it was too late to get the week and unit I wanted.

Depending on the week you want, I could check to see if it were available and then if I could transfer the certificate in your name.

You could either post here or PM me with particulars.

We stayed there last December on floor 3 (top floor) in building "G" which at the time was a newest.

They called us on the second day and offered us $150 cash to attend their sales presentation...we attended a couple days later and were out of there in 1/2 hour! It was low pressure and didn't have to take the resort tour as we were already staying there.

Have fun... :sunny:

mitcham....

one caveat, make sure they do not try to put you into "the smaller" 1 bedroom, especially if you have booked one with a FULL kitchen...there is no comparison between the two....... to say the least one is "cramped" and while the other one is "spacious"

we have seen both

they tried that switcheroo on us when we stayed there ( and we have heard they try to do this a lot with "exchangers", and you will be an exchanger since the weeks come either as a guest certificate or exchange certificate from RCI )
