Any advantage buying BLT on the Wonder vs. WDW?

In a couple weeks we will be on the Wonder and after that we have an appt. in WDW for the tour. Any advantage or incentives to buying at one place over the other?

You will probably get the same incentive as WDW, plus an additional onboard ship credit.

We were on the 10/16 Wonder and did the Members Celebration in Diversions lounge the first day. I believe you could get the same $5 off per pt over 100 pts and w/160 I believe the onboard credit was $500.

We just added on AKV at DL this summer w/$8 off per point, matching developers points, our current use year points (they were able to "find" some Jambo points after I said I didn't want to wait till Aug 09 for points) and 2 WDW or DL annual passes. Oh, and we got a $500 visa card as well.

So, much as BLT looks better in person, we'll hold off and use our $ towards a small VGC add on since we're now founding members if we so choose.

Also, they said as of the 16th that they only had about 900 founding members for BLT of the 1000 for the fountain.

I'd definitely wait to buy onboard for the credit since the price is so high now. JMHO though.

We'll be on the cruise first before we go to WDW, so will we get the same possible onboard credit or $500? as those who were already members? We will be new buyers.

TIA

As far as I know, new members were getting the credit as well. The cruise seems to be the only place to get a "better" deal. They seemed to have DVC presentations each day on our 3 day cruise and there was a desk right outside Shutters (where the photos are) that was manned most of the time. The two guides who were on our cruise were very nice and friendly, not pushy at all. Don't forget, that you have time once you are home to look everything over. We did an add on in Disneyland this summer and when we came home we realized we weren't getting points until next summer. We called our guide before we sent back the papers and we just waited a week or so for some 2008 points to become available and then sent in the new paperwork.

I dont' know if there is anything "extra" for a member referral, but I'd be happy to give you my info if you need a referral or if you have any questions at all.

Have a wonderful cruise and don't forget to rebook onboard! We rebooked 2 cruises---one for 2009 and one for 2010. We may need to change the dates around but I wanted to be sure we had the 10% off and $100 - $200 onboard credit! We can always change the dates later and keep the discount.

Thank you for the info, I think we will be checking out DVC onboard and make our decision there. This is our first cruise, so not sure if we will rebook until we try it! But thanks for the informative savings info!!

You're welcome~! Enjoy your first cruise! Our first night was a little rough but we were ok after that. There was so much to do and it just went by too quickly. We did go back to Atlantis but next time, I think I'd stay on the ship to have time to look around. Enjoy and if you have any questions, feel free to pm me.
