Any accommodation suggestions for Paris for a family of 5?

We're planning on staying for 8-10 days at the very beginning of July. I wouldn't mind an apartment, but don't know where to look or where a good part of town is that is easy to get to the metro and get around town and also to get to DLP a couple of times.

Any suggestions?

As said on your previous post go and ask on TA Paris forum, they will give you names of agencies that are used to dealing with large families. Some of these agencies are based in North American making communication easier as well as payment.

Popular areas for N.Americans are the arrondissements 1-7 with a lot staying in the 4/5/6/7.

But as you are going at a busy time and have not mentionned your budget you may not have much choice availabilty wise

Re metro you will never be more than 400m from one wherever you stay in Paris so don't worry about that

We've always stayed in Marriott Village d-ille-de-france, which is about 2km from DLP. We've found it worked well for us first as 8, and then as 5. It's an american company, they are town houses with 2-3 bedrooms, cater well for children, a spa and gym, swimming pools, indoor soft play etc.. might be a bit far from Paris for you, but depending on how you plan to divide your time it's a good option.

Have a look at citadines or adagio-city - they are both appartment hotel chains that we often use. Always very happy with the rooms and the stay - some locations are more central than others. We stayed at the Trocodero citadines last year - not cheap but amazing location and great room.

Just google rentals in Paris and use TA like Carrie Cat recommended. I found I was more comfortable with an agency over renting from an individual. Make sure you can get the contract and read before booking. This way you can know everything that is expected. For example, many companies require cash for cleaning deposit. This can leave you with a lot of cash to carry around and the pain of converting the Euros back to your Canadian dollars. The agency I booked with takes a credit card for the cleaning deposit. My family of 5 in going to Paris in June. We rented an apartment near the Louvre on Rue Saint Honore'. Metro is across the street and the RER is around the corner. There is a lot to choose from depending on budget and location. Apartments rent fast! I booked back in September. Have fun planning!

The name of the agency that I used was Rentals in Paris at rentals-paris.com. They list their apartments by street name. They have apartments all over Paris depending on where you want to be and your budget. The have google maps on their web site and that lets you see the street view of your location.

We wanted something simple, close to transportation, and close to the Louvre. (My daughter wants to spend as much time there as possible). Oh, I also wanted one with a lift/elevator. After walking all day site seeing I didn't want to climb a bunch of stairs!
