Just a few DISer's have posted--but the boat looked pretty full last time I checked.

Only 5 weeks and a few days!

You wouldn't happen to be bringing a 12 year old girl along, would you? I need one for my daughter--she's told me previously that a cruise would be fun "if she took a friend along." Well, this trip is a surprise to the kids, but--no surprise here--I can't afford to take her friends along too!

Out of the 22 people in our group - no 12 year-old girls - sorry .....we have a boy around that age though - my friend's...and he is a sweetie!

Oh well--my DD has two brothers, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I like to spend lots of FAMILY time on a family vacation anyway--it's just that my pre-teen is starting to disagree!

22 in your group! What a blast! Is there an occasion that you're celebrating?

We'll be celebrating my DS's 10th birthday--and if he wants to think the cruise is his birthday present, that's a bonus!

Hi Everyone

We will also be sailing on the 3/27 western cruise. We have a 15yo daughter.

We've been on all the other DCL cruises except this western. We have never been to Cozemel but have been to Grand Cayman several times and love it.

I may not be able to find a friend for my 12 yo DD, but it looks like you could be a friend for my DH--your 50th Corvette signature is his kind of thing! He's currently interested in Cobras, but he has kept one Corvette--I think they're classics!

My 2 teens and I will be joining you on this cruise, first one ever! Can't wait to get the paper work! The hubby is back in school so can't make it--thought Disney a good choice for quality mom-kid time

Count in 5 of us from Wisconsin. 4 Adults & 1-9 yr old girl. We got our docs last Saturday, (2/21). Just need to do a little shopping, maybe lose a couple more lbs. so that my formal fits better, pack and go! I am READY!!!!

Yep...I started my attempt to lose weight as soon as the doc's got here. Now I need to shop for some formal water shoes

I just can't wait! Am looking forward to all the yummy food! I figured I'd have to eat, (& eat lots of it, I'm sure!), so I'll just have to deal with the weight issue later!

Everyday, I'm thinking of new things, and wondering how this is going to be. Since we've never been on a cruise before! I've been to Target so often...just to pick up items I might need for this trip. My DH thinks I'm going crazy! And I'm sure I am!!!!

Will see you all on the ship. Maybe we'll be able to put a face to each of the names on this thread...wouldn't that be neat....

I know exactly how you feel! I am sure my friends and family that aren't going on the cruise are sick of hearing the details, and what I have bought, or planned, or read on here, or on the web...............well, you see what I mean. LOL
Which cruise are you going on? We are on the 27Mar Magic, first cruise also. Long time Disney fans. Going with the kids(teens), but DH in school. Figured with Disney, I can still be entertained if the kids are doing something else.

I have spent way too much time in Target

We are on the Magic as well! I think this is a thread for that particular one...Just can't wait.

You can post a thread on how to get that countdown clock thing. And someone will know where to lead you to....if you want one, that is.

This board is great...so much info! I feel like I'm an expert on DCL. (but I know I'm not) My DH thinks I'm obsessed with this. See what happens when he puts me in charge of a vacation??!! Hee hee...

There will be at least one other 12 year old girl on the 3/27 Magic cruise. Our daughters are 12 and 14.

Let's plan on a DIS Meet

Date: Monday afternoon, March 29, the first full day at sea.
Time: 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Location: Promenade Lounge on Deck 3, halfway between Lumiere's and Parrot Cay.

It was impossible to pick a time when there is no conflict with any other scheduled activity. But 4:00 p.m. is a quiet time between the daytime activities and the Captain's Welcome Reception at 5:30 p.m. (for those of us with late dinner seating. If anyone wants to plan another DIS Meet at another time, in addition to this one, that would be fine too.
