Any 3/15 western cruisers out there?

Okay I am usually a very patient person. BUT I do not think it is fair that some of us 3/15 cruisers have not received our docs. There are cruisers on the 3/20 and 3/29 that have docs already. All of us are just as excited as the next person for our cruise dates to get here. One of the things that makes that date seem closer is when we get those docs. How can DCL send out docs to cruisers who sail later if the ones before haven't gotten theirs.
Sorry I just needed to vent.
I will post ASAP when and if they do EVER get here.
Anyone still waiting or are we alone?

we're still waiting to padre.i know what you mean about making it seam even closer for the cruise when the documents come.
i'm hoping today or tommorow since the pub crawl girls in boston got there's and we're only right down the street.(we're there doing the crawl too girls.and the st. patty day is on a day at sea too.oh boy!)

I think that they may have a process that goes something like this...

people w/reservations w/assigned room numbers (non-guaranty) get their docs first.. and they prob print out all for the month of those.. regardless of sailing date... (ie not caring if 3/20 goes out before all of 3/15, etc)

and then the people w/guaranty (as their room number is prob changing daily as they finish filling up ship, etc) go out closer to cruise when they feel they are confident your number is not going to change again...

I hope this helps to destress you... i had a perm room number assigned to me.. we did not opt for the guaranty.. did you or anyone else waiting on this cruise.. did you? we can prob all figure this out if we told people the type of booking we had as well as when we got our docs...

Am glad that there are people looking forward to the pub crawl.. make sure to pack some green!

OKAY Know I am really frustrated: We made our reservations for three different rooms with perm room numbers assigned back on February 7th 2002. Needed the room numbers assigned because we wanted the rooms connecting. We have 2 of the rooms and my in laws have the other. Neither of us have received our docs yet.


Like I said before: Last cruise we booked with DCL and had perm room numbers pick when we made the reservations and we had our docs a little over the six week mark out. I think it might have something to do with what TA used. We used Dreams this time and I don't think many other that used Dreams have their docs yet either. Can't figure that out either cause Tecdavidt has had her docs for a long time and she used a TA. Or maybe something to do with what cat room you have. Ours are all 10's and last cruise it was cat 5's.

Thanks for trying to destress me but at this point I think I am getting more frustrated.

Deep breath in: think Leave March 12th. Think board the ship March 15th. Sun and warm temps.

lets see.. ours is cat 10 i believe.. (deluxe inside room) and we are on deck 2... we did ours w/points for one cruiser and the other cash.. all through DVC...

cash paid on date of booking.. no pymt plan... and my last name begins w/a G...

not sure if this will help us solve the mystery any more than my last bright idea!

sorry.. sounded like a good theory when i wrote it...

oh.. and by the way.. you will all be able to tell which cabin is the one from boston.. wait until you see what the girls have planned..

okay our last name begins with J . We have 3 cat 10's deck 7.
Dh said to call DCL cause I think he is ready to get the duct tape for my mouth.
So DCL said the docs have been sent UPS to our TA (Dreams) and that I should call them if we don't have them in 2 days.
At least I can breath a little easier knowing that the docs have been printed plus are now on their way.

Sorry to put a big hole in your theory Garnet73. We had a guarranty level 6 room and we received our docs on the 10th. Could they be doing it by level?

No docs yet. We are cat. 10, spr next to skip, last name begins with P, placed reservations last year on board, ressie transfered to DU. Who is doing the spread sheet? Looking forward to the meet and the pub crawl, the best kind, no cars no need for designated driver. If you are stressed, remember to turn it around and you have desserts, and just think of those we will be having on the Magic!

I don't think they do it by level, we usually are on deck 6 in a cat. 6 and this time we are on deck 8 in a cat. 3. We still received the docks 6 weeks out. Our air is not DCL but usually is so I can't say they are doing the air people first because they aren't. I really can't figure it out. I know reading this board in the past some Dreams customers get their docs almost 2 months out! Go figure that one out. My only guess is Spring Break but now I read cruisers after our cruise are getting their docs? People need to get these filled out and doing it at the port is not what people want to do. Getting ones docs makes the cruise so much closer. Padre Disney, let us know ASAP when they arrive. Kathy

I got a reply email from DU last night it said "As for your documents, they were processed yesterday and they will
arrive
within 3 days by UPS.

Well, folks, I don't know if there is any rhyme or reason to how they're sent out, but we (last name starts with R) just got our docs via UPS today.

We're in Nassau so it does take a couple extra days to get here, and we only managed to finalise booking a couple weeks ago - using points drawn from four different DVC memberships! We completely confused and befuddled everyone at Member Services but they came through ... the usual Disney efficiency, going way beyond the call of duty and trashing a couple of well established policies in the process.

Would that all companies were as customer oriented.

We've 3 cabins booked ... my Mom, Sister, BIL, their 3 boys ... 1 at Macalester (St. Paul), 2 at Messiah (Penna.), wife (Iowa farmgirl) and our older son 18, also at Messiah.

It's neat to see all the Minnesnotans, Iowans and Bostonians coming along ... with all our connections to those places (son no. 2 is at Gordon on North Shore, Mass - my alma mater and we lived and worked in the Boston area ... living in Malden and later in Salem).

I'm a native Nassauvian with roots in Eleuthera and Abaco Bahamas ... the Abacos are of course where Castaway Cay is located.

And for what it's worth I have a "cousin in law" from Isla Mujeres just off the coast from Cancun. She recommends the Xcaret trip but suggests we might want to try and set it up independently since some of the best folklore demonstrations will probably occur after the Disney excursion has left. I'll keep you posted if anyone's interested.

Emailed dreams and asked about our doc and told them how DCL had told me on Wednesday that our docs had been sent to our TA. Dreams said that they do not have the docs sent to them and that DCL sent them out on 2/18 three day delivery directly to our home. So I guess we will see what happens. Hopefully they will arrive on Friday.

DIS meet is right before sail-away party, midship near Goofy pool but one deck above looking down at Goofy pool, Starboard side (right). I got your email nyloc, just haven't had to time to respond. Weather is nice here today, 52° at my house, that is a major heat wave for Iowa this time of year.

Since the info I go from DU is the same as what they told Padre
Disney I am planning on most of us getting our Documents tomorrow. I think I will leave a note on my door for UPS to leave them at neighbors so I will be sure I don't have to go get them. Does any one know what UPS has been doing if no one is home?

We booked through All Seasons and when I called today they told me that I should not expect to get my travel docs until March 1 because Disney had not printed them yet. The story was that since they had such a large group going Disney would wait to print all the docs at once. It feels like Disney would want to accomodate the travel agents that send larger groups and get their stuff out first. VERY FRUSTRATING!!

Well at least we have been before so I know what to expect and what to pack.

Congrats Bev! My husband Dave just looked at your count down clock last night and was shocked, only 21 days left. It hadn't sunk into his head it was getting close, it has now!!! According to Steph the two girls have been discussing the cruise at school . I suppose we will have to have an overnight on the ship with Leah and Steph . I suggested it to Steph and she was happy about that but I told her I needed to ask you about it. The Cat. 3 has a lot of room for an overnight. Happy Packing Kathy

My husband is so glad those docs got here. He had the duct tape in hand and was ready to use it.
We are all very excited but Leah has it better than our other kids cause she is so lucky that she has a friend from school that will be on the same cruise. I'll check with Leah about the overnighter. I'm sure she would love it.
The truck is cleaned out and the kids fun bags are loaded to keep them busy.
I noticed there will be a full moon on the 18th. Won't that be great.

No documents yet in texas but I got a nice Disney suprise. I emailed Disney trying to confirm that some old Park hopper passes still had a day left. Today Lynn , from Disneys excutive office called to let me know we had 2 day and 2 plus features left on each card. She said she saw we would be coming so she called to besure I knew. So now I guess we'll go to Pleasure Island Thursday night (DD loves improve and adventures Club) and to the Parks Friday. Yhea!
