Any 10-16-04 cruisers yet?

:bday: JILL!

Julie ~ My DH is a Sheriff's Deputy/Corrections Officer. He works in the county jail. He has stories too, but I usually don't want to hear about them. Your DH and mine will have something in common to talk about.

Julie- Please add us to your list Me, DH,DS-7
stateroom 6634 late seating. First time to cruise.

Rose- Thank you for the input are you traveling with children?
We still can not decide what to do before the cruise but if we stay at Cape Canaveral we did decide on Ron Jons.

Hi Batchler:

Yes we are traveling with two boys, 8 and 5, unless I can lose them in Houston during the layover.

We are doing MNSSHP and spending 2 days at Universal Studios this year since we live 50 minutes from the "real" Disneyland. WE are also doing a character breakfast at Universal with Spiderman and Sponge Bob Squarepants  I keep telling the kids there is no pineapple under the sea or sponge in squarepants but they just don't believe me.

Denise, we made our "romantic night" for Friday night, so you might want to stay out of your room that night. I often start screaming when I see hubby naked.

NOTE TO Hubby: (Honey, I am joking..it was a just a joke. I really love you as much as those cute sandals as Nordstroms...honest I do!!)

Rose -You are my sons hero:) I had no idea they a character breakfast with spongbob and spiderman. What night are you all going to MNSSHP. We gave my son a choice between discovery cove and MNSSHP and He picked MNSSHP Over swimming with the dolphins. Our son is 7. Have ya'll been on the Magic before?

Rose: It's a good thing I wasn't drinking or I would have sprayed it all over the monitor!

We will be driving from Cleveland unless we can find a great deal on a flight. We usually stay in Jacksonville and then arrive at the port from there. We haven't been able to drive that far with Kaleigh yet, but that is what we hope to do. (of course there is that duct tape, valium, vodka thing)

Happy Birthday Jill!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

We will be doing the MNSSHP after the cruise, maybe Sunday. We are going to Epcot's Food & Wine festival after the cruise. Like, we won't get enough food or libations on the cruise!

Wine: Bring whatever is your favorite or something you have been wanting to try.

My DH and Jill's DH are both Correction Officers in one of our state prisons. We could be in big trouble if these guys all get together!

Rose....I would appreciate it very much if you would try to keep some sort of articles of clothing on your husband at all times. Screaming of any kind makes me have flash backs to when my children were all little and that's all they knew how to do. Besides....you know about the balcony thing...I don't wanna see anything....not even in my own cabin

FYI...... I just called the cruiseline and they told me that the dinner rotation HAS STAYED the same. DreamsUnlimited has told me something different that the formal and semi-formal nights switched. I will get to the bottom of this!!!!!!

Tiggerfantoo was the first to order signs and I've finally gotten her's printed out. They look great, if I do say so myself.

Juile/wildernessgirl and Denine ~ You two are next on my list. I PM'd you.

HI!! I called Disney, this is what they told me:

If you want to dine in Lumiere's on Formal night, to request just that, not to request a certain rotation because the Formal nights are different on some cruises

I spoke with Danielle, and she assured me that info was correct, hope this helps!

Lisa

What happened to our countdown timers?

edited: Never mind. When I first got on there weren't any numbers in the box.

Lisa ~ I'm confused (as usual). Are you saying that you can call and request Lumiere's just for formal night and the rest of your rotation stays the same?

HI!

Sandy- I just wanted to make sure I was scheduled to dine in Lumiere's on Formal night, I had originally requested the PLA rotation based on Sunday being Formal night, but then I was told Formal night could fall on any night and at any restaurant, so I specifically requested to be in Lumiere's for Formal night.

I've been told so many different things and read different things here on these boards and my main concern was to be in Lumiere's for Formal night, so I requested just that. I'm not concerned about which rotation I get, just wanted to avoid being in the other restaurants in my gown.

The funny thing is that when I have called Disney I have gotten a different story each time! So to be safe I decided to do it this way..... They pretty much guaranteed me that my request would be met.

You might want to call them and have a comment added to your reservation if you want a specific rotation or Formal night in a certain restaurant, hope this helps...hope you can get a straight answer!

Lisa

The only restaurant I don't want formal night is the tropical one ( I need a cruise now, I can't remember it's name!). It is kind of neat to be in AP for formal night when everything is B&W.

Can't wait for the door sign.

I was just at www.disney.store.go.com and they have some Pooh luggage on sale. One of the items is a duffle bag (they call it a carpet bag) for $14.99. The size is listed, and it looks like it is the same size as a large carry-on.

I ordered a Mickey duffle bag online this morning for the same price. It will be a great piece of luggage for my 3 year old granddaughter. It will hold alot of toys and souveniers. :-)

Hi everyone!

Thanks Lisa for the info about the dinner rotation. I will definitely request Lumeire's for formal night. That does make sense about them moving the nights around and what I have seen on the boards.

Sandy, I answered you back about the signs and I can't wait!

We got our plane tickets yesterday so it is getting soooooo real!!!

My aunt died this morning, so I might be MIA for awile, but I will be back and excited as ever!!!

Have a great week!!!

I definitely agree with this. I have never been in Parrot Cay for formal night so I can't really say I have an opinion, but I know from personal experience Animators Palate is FANTASTIC for formal night. Something about the crisp and shiny black and white -- floors, chairs, etc. make it suit formal attire very well.

Julie....so sorry to hear about your aunt.

:( Denise

Just bumping us up.

Denine....any bites on the house yet?

Julie....what's happening with Poo Head?

Gloria....I have spent so much money this week at the Disney Store that I might have to cancel the cruise.

It's going to be HOT HOT HOT here by Thursday:eek: Humidity is going to be awful. I get cranky when I'm hot. I know that's really hard to believe...what with me being so sweet and everything. I am normally just a ray of :sunny: Did I just hear somebody snort??

Have to go to bed....I'll be hitting the snooze alarm in the morning more than I normally do.

Talk to you later,
Denise

Poo Head is still saying NO! She doesn't want her to miss 5 days of school. This is coming from a person who has no college education and doesn't check her daughter's homework. Between my husband and I, we have 4 college degrees and one of mine is a teaching degree! You would think that you would let your daughter go if she was going to be in that kind of company to help with any work she might get that has to be done before she gets back to school. Soooooooooooooo, so far no go! I'm still working on her, but it doesn't look too good right now.
