Any 10-16-04 cruisers yet?

Is anyone on this thread taking orders for door signs for the 10/16/04 cruise? If you are, please let me know so that I can place my order.

Not sure what you mean by "taking orders for door signs".

I made one for our 10/16/04 cruise. However, I may change it before we go. Here's a link to My Cabin Door Sign I wish it hadn't turned out so big. It doesn't fit in the window.

Zandy 595, Verandah Man has graciously offered to make personalized door signs for people who are taking the Ca - FL cruise in August 2005. The door signs are 8 1/2" by 11" and are magnetized to stick to the stateroom doors. If you want to see the door sign, you can go into the "August 20, 2005 Repositioning/Transitional CA - FLA" link. When you go into the link, go to page one. The first posting is by Grumbo, and has a link titled "Personalized 8 1/2" x 11" door magnets". That will show you the nice door sign that Verandah Man designed.

I was hoping that someone on this site had designed a door sign that we could purchase for the cruise. I am not too creative, and anything that I make would probably look like something a baby monkey created - no, I take that back. The baby monkey would do a better job than I would. :-)

Hellooooooooooooo Everyone:

I haven't posted lately so I wanted to say "Hey, How are you, What's going on, How is it hanging , and of course, What's up?"

To all the new people, I would like to welcome you on board. We are going to have a great cruise. There are a couple people on the board that you need to steer clear of due to insaniety reasons, but if you want to email me, I will be happy to give names and social security numbers. I am one of the sanest people. The voices I am hearing will be gone as soon as I sell them on ebay.

Things are great. Can you believe we are getting close to double digits? I am getting excited. WE booked the romance package. I love having all the reservations made in advance. We even made "high tea" reservations. I don't really like tea and I am not sure I can sip tea with my pinky in the air but I am gonna do my best to pretend like I belong.

We are thinking about chartering a private boat from this guy in St John. He takes you to a private area for snorkeling and sunbathing. I thought it would be like Gilligan's Island and I could be Ginger. Okay, okay, maybe an older, fatter Mary Ann, but can't we dream here? HUH?

That's all for now. WElcome to everyone new. Many hugs to the old ones.

We are back from another wonderful WDW trip. I'll have to check into the door signs for the August cruise.

Our house goes on the market today. Wish us luck in selling it!

Zandy595, That is a beautiful door sign! Will you have it on your door for the October cruise? Are you thinking of making any magnetic ones up to sell for the cruise?

Please let me know if you are. I need to find door signs for five stateroom doors. :-)

Thanks. Yes, I plan on having a sign on my cabin door for our 10/16 cruise. I might change it before then, not sure if I want our last name on it. And then I also have to remember to pack it. I'll be making 3 more signs for family members in other cabins.

I'd be more than happy to make others if anyone would like to reimburse me for expenses (shipping, magnetic paper, ink). How much is Verandah Man charging for his?

Sandy, GREAT sign!!! If the offer still stands, we would gladly pay you for a great door sign too! Just let me know how much and the exact info you need for the sign. You are just so talented!!!

Zandy595, Verandah Man charged $5.00 for the sign, including mailing in a large envelope. He wrote "Please do not bend" on the front and back of the envelope. Unfortunately, I have a small post office box and they bent it when they shoved it into the post office box. The magnetic paper is thin, though, so I was able to straighten it out by putting a few heavy books onto it. It was well worth the $5 to buy it. What a lovely souvenir!

Someone on the other thread mentioned that they did not want their last name on the door sign. They were afraid that other people might have charges billed to their room since people would have their last name and room number.

I have never cruised before, but I thought you could only charge things to your room if you had your KTTW card with you.

Anyway, please let me know if you are going to take orders for these signs. I would like to order 5 signs if you are going to take orders.

Here is the link for the website that Verandah Man ordered the magnetic paper from.

Sandy: Great sign. If you are taking orders, we would like 1 sign.

Nothing new here. Hoping to get some lookers at our house after today. The ad was in the paper this morning.

I haven't actually tried printing a sign out on magnetic paper yet. The one I made was printed on plain paper. I need to get a package of magnetic paper and print my sign out to make sure my printer does a good job. If it works well (I have no reason to think that it won't) I'll take orders for the 10/16/04 cruise.

$5 seems like a reasonable price. Is Verandah Man using the same layout for all the signs and just changing the names?

Sandy: Yes, VM is using the same layout for each magnet and changing the names.

Not easy trying to keep up with 2 cruise threads!

Happy Monday!

Just thought I would pop in since I have not been posting on this thread for a while.

Wow we are getting pretty close to cruise time! I am going to try and read over the pages I have missed I feel so lost.

Hi Julie and Denine
Noticed a few pages back you were looking for babysitters.
Both my daughters will be on this cruise and the Aug 20 cruise
Not sure if you remember them from the Oct 16th cruise in 02.
But something to keep in mind if you get in a jam. They are 16 and 19.

Barb:smooth:

:Pinkbounc I'm back!!

I missed you guys! We had a great time and great weather. Sat on the beach and read (total of 6 books).

My little grandbaby is now crawling and waving bye-bye. (When I left he was just kind of lying around like Randy in the movie 'A Christmas Story'...."and Randy lay there like a slug".) Now he's all over the place! He's sooo cute....looks just like me. You'll see.

Hope everyone is doing well. I have to go unpack.

Bye! Denise

Denise: Welcome back. SOunds like you had a nice, relaxiong trip!

Barb: How could we remember your girls? You forgot about our meets! :earboy2:

Hey Hey now!! I am reformed since the last cruise:rolleyes:

Next wine party on the ship I am SO there! :teeth:

We shall see Barb, we shall see!:teeth: We might take you up on your offer with your daughter's IF they are willing to watch them. ( or any other eager sitters:hyper: ) We want to try to do the brunch and I don't know if the nursery will be open during bruch hours. I hoping the other two, we can toss into the club for that and for dinner at Palo's, we shall see!

Hi to everyone! We need to do another roll call soon! With names, ages, and stateroom numbers so we can get a list together and pass them out at the sail away party! That is if you guys are want to. We did that for our last cruise in 2002.
