We are between the last week of May and the first week of June, 2024. It's so frustrating that we can't see June 2024 yet!!! Any educated guesses about when they will release the next set of cruises? Anxious to get this on the books!

I think last years release was delayed because of the start of the war in Ukraine at the end of February. DCL scrambled to change the itineraries for the 2022 Baltic cruises, some of which included stops in Russia I think. And then I am sure also had to adjust plans for 2023 last minute before the release.

So, I am hopeful that if nothing new horrible (new pandemic, new war) happens, the release date will finally be back in the more normal timeframe. I think the earthquake in Turkey and Syria did not hit in any area where the Med cruises would go, so this (while yet another not needed horrible thing) will not have any effect.

My guess is beginning of March. But I am always an optimist! 🤣

I’m hoping the dates move back to March. I remember last year being late (I actually looked up my email with dates from last year). This is when I usually book my September cruise. I hope it’s not too late. I’m sailing starting April 29th for a b2b (7 + 7) and really dont want to miss my favorite room. i would have to get my daughter to book and pay for me since you can’t do that on the ship any more, plus using my TA and a placeholder too. Come on March, momma needs to get her 9/2024 cruise booked…..

Things to look out for:
  • When will the Treasure start sailing? And is it true that she will take over the Fantasy?
  • If so, where will the Fantasy go?
  • Does the Dream go back to Europe in Summer 2024?
  • Where does the Magic go? She is getting phased out of Europe so Disney has different options for her back home.
  • Wonder I'm sure will be in Alaska. She's the only ship to go to Alaska and I don't see that changing
  • One can also assume the Wish will continue 3, 4 and 5 night Bahamas sailings from PC

I’m waiting for October 24 not very patiently. I don’t know why DCL has to wait so long to release their itineraries. It drives me crazy.

I don’t think the Treasure will start sailing until late 2024.

Thanks for your insights. Looking for 7 day out of Canaveral.

Same. Based upon its current state, summer ‘24 seems highly unlikely.

There was some Disney Parks Blog thing about the Wish a little while ago where they said “delivery late 2024”. I read that to mean that she won’t have her maiden voyage until early 2025…

I'm really, really hoping for 2024 Spring/Summer itineraries out of NY for a birthday getaway but I think at this point, it's a pipedream. :guilty:

We hope to do the whole family next summer, so there will be 12 of us. But I don’t have an OBB until May, so I hope they wait a little longer. Sorry!
I hope it works out for you! I would still recommend to book early. If prices rise by more than 10% waiting for the onboard booking discount was a waste. If they don’t go up, you can always rebook with the OBD. We were lucky to apply an OBD in January to a cruise in August that we had booked when it opened. Price has not gone up at all!

Know every little bit of savings helps, but don’t think they will wait that long. Normally summer itineraries came out February/March. With the past year being late and announcing late April, not sure if that’s the new normal. I need to book before the end April, so hoping for an early to normal release. I’m on a cruise ship for 14 nights starting April 29th, so the timing will be tight. I have a favorite room. If not, I’ll have to line up a backup team and coordinate with my TA, just don’t want to deal with while out at sea.

I don’t think they’ll wait for the treasure to release summer. I think they are trying to settle on prices for 2024. Some of the europe and alaska cruises have gone to GT rates which may be a sign they overpriced them.

My bet for the treasure is 3/4 nights from PC. They make more money on the short cruises and it allows more people to experience the new ship—first timers who might not want to spend a whole vacation on a cruise but are willing to tack on a 3 or 4 night cruise to a stay at WDW. Plus it will be easier to run more ships in the Bahamas at the same time once they open lighthouse point.

I could also see Dream or Fantasy going to Alaska someday. Those cruises are big money and they can sell more cabins on the Dream class than a classic ship.

I guess DCL could consider these larger ships if they stick to Glacier Bay.

I don’t think they’d have to change their itinerary. We did endicott arm on the Discovery Princess last year which is very close in size to the Dream/Fantasy. You don’t get quite as close to the glacier on the bigger ships but it is still impressive.

If they go to Glacier Bay they would reel us back in. As it is, I assume we'll have to sail with someone else to get there.
