Anti-Humidity Hair Product Recommendations?

Thank you everyone! Looks like I'll be taking a little trip to Ulta :) My hair is growing (slowly but surely) so I'm hoping it will be long enough by the time my trip rolls around the just let it curl. Right now it's just too short and I look like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket when I leave it curly!

PS If they sold that super cute red minnie mouse polka dot ballcap in adult size at the parks, I would never bother straightening my hair again! ;)

Chi silk infusion, a chi flat iron and either a Moroccan oil or Keratin oil serum. I use Organix. :)

Summer Hair by Frederic Fekkai. Available at Sephora or Ulta seasonally - summers only. I haven't seen it out yet, but it usually comes out around now. You can probably also find it on Amazon or eBay. With anti-humidity stuff, you get what you pay for so IMO, its worth it to pay a little more if it keeps the frizz away!

What product in the Summer Hair line do you use? It looks like there is an anti-frizz cream, a frizz control spray, a leave-in conditioner, and a shampoo and conditioner.

OP, I have super curly hair and I've had good experiences with the Ouidad Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel. I put it in damp hair and then blow dry straight. It definitely keeps the frizz away.

I have coarse curly/frizzy hair that I normally flat iron. (I can't figure out how to make it look good curly...I get weird frizz on top.) Well, at WDW, I always end up in a hat by day 2.

I'm super excited that this year will be different! I just had the keratin blowout done-- it's about $80 and it's supposed to last about 6-8 weeks. So far, I'm amazed...it's like I have real people hair (instead of my usual horse hair!)

We leave for WDW tomorrow (:cool1:), so I can't say for sure yet, but when I was in New Orleans over the weekend, it made a world of difference. My hair never frizzed or got crazy. I fully expect to be able to go hatless without looking like a freak-- a first for me at WDW in the summer!

I have the hat! I had no idea it's technically a "youth" size until very recently. I've been wearing it since Nov 2001 though...find one and try it on! I don't even have to use the last hole on the adjuster. I have super thick curly hair and it fits with my hair in a ponytail or down.

I gave up on trying to straighten it while on vacation at WDW. I just wear it curly. It's kind of awesome because it keeps me from having to travel with a hairdryer and chi iron! :cool1:

Go Curly Girl and be done with the headache for good. Google "curly girl" and give it a shot. I'm so glad I did - my hair has never looked better and I've never had a problem with frizz again!

My thought exactly, I have thick wavy hair and keep it short but humidity turns it to a bush. My hat works best, plus keeps me cooler and the sun off my face and neck.

I have the worst hair in Disney no matter what time of year we go. Even with the best products & straighteners, my hair is long so I still get hot. The only sure-fire way to stay cool & look decent is a hat! I don't need to worry about how frizzy my hair is or what it looks like because it's all hidden. It's a good excuse to buy a new cute hat each trip :)

I used the anti-frizz cream in this line today and put my hair in a French braid. We are on vacation in Hilton Head and going to Savannah this afternoon. It is extremely humid here right now. So far so good. I usually get lots of frizz at my hairline but not yet today.

i throw mine into a ponytail or bun.

for what it's worth, i've tried several things and still prefer John Frieda Frizz Ease. the other thing i like is to use Alterna's Kendi Oil Mist after i've straightened out my hair. you only need a little bit.

Japanese straightening is the best by far. You have it done once at the salon and your hair will stay straight for 6 months. Pricey but oh so worth it to not have to straighten your hair every day. The stuff is amazing..

I'm with the people who say embrace the curl. Find the products that work *with* your hair, let it go curly and keep down the frizz.

I can't really wear a hat at WDW because I sweat so much and having a big sweat line on the hat is beyond UNcute (why didn't my family tell me about the sweat line? why?). So I just go with what the humidity wants to do.

But I might have opposite hair to others, because it LOVES the humidity. I never realized how curly my hair could get until I moved to the South for a few years, and it's never quite been the same since. In dry air is when I go frizzy.

I used to use the Aveda humectant (bring IN the moisture and keep it there = no frizz for me) stuff, and right now I'm using their be curly style-prep and Brilliant retexturing gel; together they work great.
