Spread out over a few post are these topics and I thought I would post with what I learned from MS here today ( Jan 12 ) under one new post.
I learned two things.
1st - Last August I stayed with cash night 1st night and rest on points. I was told to come to the front desk next am check out / check in. I did and did.
MS told me today that this is not the case with linked ressies ( which I thought , and still think my last ressies were for ) You check in once and thats it.
Most of you had told me this was the case , just not what I experienced.
2nd was about cash discount-
You can NEVER get this for standard view rooms , only preferred view rooms. I have std and called to see about discount. There was a discount for pref room ,but I stayed with non discount std view so we wouldn't have to move. I hadn't known about this before.
I want to add too that with linked ressies she told me that with the DDP I would have access to all my credits on the first night , even though it is cash night and then points. We bought the plan for both cash and point parts of the ressie , and wanted to know if we could do a two credit signature restaurant the first night.
SO next month I will have been here on the DIS boards a year , spending most of it learning about DVC . It seems I still have a long way to GO !! <G>
