ok, if you are in a room facing the lobby do you have a balcony? If not, what are you better off with a balcony or a room facing the lobby. noise is not a prioblem. if we dont get a room facing the lobby what is the best area/floor to request at the standard (praying and hoping for and upgrade)

Would it sound crazy to ask the cm for the best available room facing the MK for the fireworks? again i dont want to sound pushy just need to figure out how im going to ask for the upgrade without sounding like I expect it. maby if i mention it will be our anniversary (6 years! ) while there it may help!

As far as I know, even the lobby rooms have outside balconies!

I would just ask if any of the rooms face the MK and if so, are you able to see the fireworks from it. Maybe ask if that is somthing you can pay an additional fee for. I bet if they have one available, you'll have a good shot at getting it. Its not like your trying to get a free upgrade if you've already booked a room facing the lobby. Maybe they'll hook you up!!

All the rooms have a balcony. We asked for a lobby facing room last summer, but they were unable to meet our request. We requested a N/S, high floor, facing lobby, view of fireworks if possible. They did give us a nice room though -- it was a standard N/S room, not far from the elevator, on the sixth floor and facing the Contemporary. It was room 6062. Since we were on the 6th floor, we could see some of the high fireworks and the Contemporary lit up at night. There are a lot of trees that have grown taller over there so the view one might have had off this balcony a few years ago has changed. Down below us was the service area, but being up so high it did not really bother us except during the day when we heard some delivery trucks beeping while they backed up.

The WL is a beautiful resort. We loved it there. Hope you get some of your requests met!
