Another "what would you do thread"

We are going for 9 days/8 nights in Sept/Oct. We are "point poor", unless we add on this summer.

I was thinking of 5 night studio at OKW and 3 nights 1br SV at BLT. (We decided that we wanted to be at BLT on Oct. 1st for the 40th of MK)

For this trip it is 53 OKW points and 90 BLT points for 143 total.

I was also going to try to get 4 nights at BCV for use at SAB (if we get it in Sept) then 4 nights at BLT.

For this trip it is 61 BCV points and 83 MK view or 72 LV for 133 or 144 points.

It will be me, DW, and DS4, DS2 on this trip...

I would go for the space. There isn't too much of a point difference between the choices and I would prefer the larger accomodations especially a 1 Bdrm over a studio and a BLT studio to boot!

However with the smaller ones you may like them where you can keep your eye on them all the time! So perhaps a studio for both portions of the trip would work out better.

Not sure my answer was really an effect opinion as I didn't seem to give a definate answer.

I would be excited about being at BLT on the 40th Anniversary though, that is awesome. Enjoy your trip!!

I picked the first option for more space... of course DVC has spoiled me and if we bring the kids, I have to have a 1-bedroom. I love having a washer and dryer and a room of our own.

The BLT standard and MK view won't be available at 7 months.

I'd go with OKW for the entire trip just to get lots of room and save some points for next year.

I haven't decided on next years trips yet.... I am tempted to let our AP's run out, and try to do a week in California with about 4 days at DL in April. A summer camping trip and then back to WDW in December of 2012. I'm just not sure that a 14 month break is a good idea...

Also, I'm not sure of the 40th for MK, and that is a main reason why we are doing this trip for these dates.

Ok then - I'm actually going to vote the BCV/BLT studios though. I'm iffy on split stays and like them to be split as evenly as possible if they are done. Now if you were talking a 1BR at OKW and the 1BR at BLT then that would get my vote.

I vote for a 1 bdrm at OKW. The size and bathroom are worth the extra bus time. DH and I did a split stay in a 1 bdrm at AKV and a studio at BWV. We definitely liked the 1 bdrm a ton more.

Having stayed in both a studio and 1 bedroom at BLT, I voted for doing the 1 bedroom BLT/OKW option.

We also stayed BCV last year and enjoyed it but for my family, SAB wasn't the draw (walk to Epcot was), so I wouldn't choose that over the space at BLT.

Have you considered doing BCV and then the BLT 1 bedroom. It is a bit more, but if you have to book any of those at 7 months, you could just buy the extra 8 points vis MS at $15/each. You get SAB and get to be near MK for the 40th.

I called today to see what, if anything was available...

LV at BLT for the last 4 nights (72 points)

and BWV and BCV both had availability for the first 4 ngihts. (there was no Boardwalk views available)

I know what you mean. I did a studio last year out at VGC and boy did I miss having the washer & dryer in my unit.

We put 5 in a cat. 4 on the Wonder in December, and boy was that snug! But we always make the most of it and just love being there!

I went against the poll here and went with the studio at BCV and the studio at BLT...

I was so unhappy about giving up the 1br for the studio, but if that is the biggest sacrifice I have to make this year, it will be a great year!
