Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I made the homepage again today! That's twice in 2 weeks.
Still waiting on a bunch to be approved for April and so is my husband. I hate the waiting game!!!!!

Congrats! I have just 3 I'm waiting on that I uploaded the day before yesterday. Now I need to start finding stuff to review for this month.

Congrats, I saw that!
I still have 11 pendng from April. Hopefully they get caught up quickly!
And my Canon SHOULD be back from Best Buy today, so I can get back to doing my reviews without the technical difficulties!
So, it sounds like the second week of the month is best to avoid the waiting game? since he first week they are sill catching up from the previous month, and they start slowing down around the 20th...

Okay, I really really want to try and do this to earn some extra money and besides it sounds like something I can do after the little ones go to bed at night and my hubby is away working! But for the life of me I can't figure out how do you know which products to do reviews on? Is there only certain products, or a list? I have searched over and over and I'm sure I'm making this out to be harder than it is. Kinda reminds of the first time I tried ebay - you were nervous about listing something but then found out how easy it is! :rotfl:

Thanks for any help on this subject!

Yeah!!!! I just got one accepted for April. Thank goodness. I uploaded it Tuesday night (it was a re-do) and it got accepted today. Way sooner than expected. I have a few more pending so I'll see if they get accepted & report back.

I have a question if anyone can answer it. My daughter was watching some of the reviews did to :lmao: at and she was not logged in as anyone. But my number of previews hasn't changed. Anyone know why? She also watched them to the end.

Interesting concept! I think I'm going to give it a try, can anyone tell me if there is a limit to how many you can have accepted per month or how much $$ you can make per month?

Thanks alot!

They only update once a day. I'm not sure what time of the day it is, so wait 24 hours and you should notice a difference.

Just hoping someone can answer my question....any help is appreicated. Thanks......

It's basically any product, just make sure it's in their data base. You can do this by pretending to upload, just go through the process and make sure it's there. Basically, if it's on amazon or widely available, it's there. I haven't had too many problems.

Thank you for answering me...:worship: Okay, I'm not trying to be stupid here, but is there a way to see the database before you make a video? I was trying to find the link for it, but couldn't find it. I swear I'm blind sometimes. Thanks again for the respone!

You have to pretend to upload it. It asks what product you reviewed, so type in the name of the product, and if it shows up, you are good to go. Sometimes you have to play around with words to find it. Or if nothing comes up, click on the "still no matches" button, and you provide a link to the item, showing it is nationally avalible.

EDITED TO ADD:
Sometimes the data base is misleading. A few times I have reviewed a product which is in the database, only to have it rejected because it is discontinued. (my breadmaker and Mickey Waffler are two I can think of off the top of my head.) So, that is something to be prepared for.

You guys are awesome! I guess that's why they say :disrocks: !!

Okay, I'll try not to ask any other stupid questions!!

Use Amazon as your database. That is what their database pulls from. I have had products I could not find on Expo, so then went to Amazon and was able to use Amazon's exact title and then find it on Expo.

Each month, Expo announces a limit. It has been 20 the past 2 months for videos accepted for the $10 upfront payment. But you can upload more for the penny per play payment. You get the PPP (penny per play) for each time someone watches any of your videos. So you are limited to $200 for upfront payments, but the pennies have no limit and can add up. I hope this helps!

Does anyone know what the May promo is? I can not find it. I am assuming it is the same as April.

Does anyone know what the May promo is? I can not find it. I am assuming it is the same as April.

I found it under the terms and conditions:

May Videopinions Rewards Program: May 1, 2008 (12:00am EST) - May 31 2008 (11:59pm EST) (the "Program Period"). During the Program Period, ExpoTV will pay each member for up to 20 qualifying videos. The amount of Upfront Payment ("Upfront Payment") will be $0 or $10 depending on the quality of the product review, as determined by ExpoTV Staff in its sole discretion. ExpoTV judges the "quality" of the video based on the following provided in the video: (a) Your honest, personal opinion and experience with the product; (b) Provide basic information about product features and benefits; (c) A demonstration of how you use the product; and (d) Product name and model number. Minimum requirements to qualify for minimum payment are set forth in the Make Videos page, available at: http://www.expotv.com/make. Determination of video quality is within the sole discretion of ExpoTV and all decisions are final. Payment amounts are subject to change at any time. Since any changes will be posted on this page, we encourage you to check this page regularly. Your submission of a product review constitutes your acceptance of such changes. All payments will be made in accordance with Section 3 of these Videopinions Terms and Conditions. Qualifying videos may feature any product noted as acceptable in these Videopinions Terms and Conditions (see Section 2 below for more details). Additional restrictions may apply.

The $0 or $10 statement is confusing me. They will tell you before it goes live right? If it qualified for $0 upfront payment? Because if I uploaded a video & they said, "This video qualifies for upfront payment" and then paid me nothing with no chance to re-make the video and make $10 I would be TICKED, to say the least.

Especially considering to make the 75mg I have to film at normal instead of high quality which results in them telling me I still have some pixelation (but still paid me the $10 for April.)

Is this as clear as mud, or does anyone know?

If they do what they did last month, you get one chance for a redo (if it's not accepted on the first try). Plus, the reviewer tells you what you need to do to fix the problem. If you reupload and they are happy with the fixes, you get paid. If they aren't, then it goes up for penny per play.
Just keep an eye on your list of videos to see what is pending, what is approved, and what needs to be fixed.

Thanks! ANd if they accept it but still tell you what you could be doing better, does that mean they will eventually cut you off if you don't take their advice, or just are informing you for future reference?
