I just transfered reservation for Dec 2006 over to Costo-co from DCL, saving $264.00 :p I got a quote from DU and they could only match the DCL price and offer me their current promotion which would only save me $100. So, of course I went with Cost-co and now the cruise is 'only' costing me $2900 for two conncting SPR the week before Christmas....when hopefully the kids will be on Christmas break!
    :

Me too!! I booked a September 2006 Magic cruise yesterday and Costco was the lowest quote I received. They beat DU and Disney.com by $300+!! I have other cruises booked with them as well. Everyone I've contacted has been very helpful and courteous! Two thumbs up!!

I will second that. I just booked July 1, 2006 Magic and Costco was $540 cheaper than DU which was the lowest I had received. Well worth the $45 membership fee. Well, I love Costco anyways so I already paid that fee and saved it a long time ago!

I have found that Dana at CruisePlanners (micdan.com) is cheaper than Costco. She is wonderful and is very knowledgeable about Disney. I like talking to the same person when I have questions. I have used Costco before and while they are inexpensive, there is no personal attention. With Dana, you get both -- cheapest price and great personal attention.

I just got off the phone with Dana and she's come in the lowest sofar over Costco, Sams, and Allseas. I'm now just waiting for a call back from AAA travel who I got my Wilderness Lodge ressie from next month but I'm guessing they'll be more than Dana's was.

So is this woman really good to deal with? Reputable business? Been around for awhile?

How do I contact this Dana...I see the website but I'm sure there are many agents there.

Actually, I have received excellent personal attention from CostCo. Unless you need someone to guide you through the whole process of reserving a cruise, the same agent is not always a benefit.

I have dealt with two agents so far at CostCo and they have given me exceptional service, even to the point of holding my initial reservation because I didn't have the correct credit card in my wallet at the time.

Ditto to what TiggerKing said! I have nothing but praise for Costco; of course, I have taken enough cruises that I don't need hand-holding either. I know Costco is reputable and feel safe dealing with them.

I've never heard of CruisePlanners so I can't help answer any questions about them. Sorry.

just transferred our reservations to costco from DCL and saved almost $700.00 on 2 cat 10 connecting cabins on deck 7
I am a happy camper...er......cruiser!

ikohawaii, Dana is the only one that answers the number on her webpage! She is the best! I have used her for 3 cruises and she has always come in the lowest! She has a wonderful attitude and she is a fellow DIS she just doesnt post too often. She is reputable :p

We have only good things to say about Costco too. We were booked on the 9/25 cruise through them. They were so helpful in finding a hotel room for us to wait out Hurricane Jeanne. That was one thing that disappointed me about Disney is that they offered no help in finding a hotel room when we couldn't board the ship. We totally understood that hurricanes can interfere with a cruise, but we were disappointed that Disney could not offer us assistance in finding a room to stay in. (All Disney resorts were booked.) Costco came though for us and reserved the Wyndham Palace while we were enroute to Orlando.

I left Dana a message. I'm on the West Coast cruise out of L.A. next summer. I don't know if since it's sold out no T.A.'s can take over ressies. I told her this and she hasn't called back so maybe that's the reason. Anyone know if a T.A. can take over a ressie if there are no more rooms in that cat?

Yes, they can still take it over. Give her some time, I am certain she has been swamped because of all the recent positive publicity from this board :teeth:

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I did not
receive this specific message?

Please feel free to call me anytime or email me
if you would like: beanie-babies@att.net

I will try to help if I can :)

Dana :)

MAJOR THANK YOUS!!!!!!! :wave2:

O.K. Dana...I left another message and e mailed you. Hopefully you'll get one of them. Thanks for posting.

Thanks everybody....Dana just called me. The cruise is almost sold out and I booked with Costco so her hands are tied. I know what you guys mean about wanting to work with her. She is just such a nice person. She makes me want to go to Florida just to book a cruise with her. I wish I had her number when I booked back in May. Anyway, thanks again guys...I will keep her number and hope that one day Disney will sail to Alaska.
