Another Virgin Rant-sorry

Sorry folks, I just want to ask:

Does anyone else think Virgin have really REALLY gone off the boil customer service-wise in recent years?

4 weeks ago I added DBf to my booking-I thought this would be a simple straightforward procedure, which ended up taking over 25 minutes on the phone. To date and despite several ever-more-angry emails I have still not received a revised invoice showing the amendment and enabling me to pick our seats on the flight. I have e-mailed several times and been promised a revised invoice is in the post (no word of apology for the lack of invoice, or the fact it took 3 emails to get them to ackowledge my problem) Strange thing is the £120 deposit for DBf was debited from my account 2 days after I rang....

I have always defended Virgin to anyone who cared to mention them before, but I really think their position has market leader for Disney has gone to their heads. if it wasn't for the fact they are currently sitting on £240 of my hard earned cash i would cancel with them and book direct with WDW.

Surely I'm not the only person who is rapidly losing patience with them?
 
The booking ref should stay the same even if you make amendments, have you tried the booking ref you already have?

yes tried the booking ref which still shows only me travelling alone, which is winding me up more than ever!
 
Ah not very useful then! Hopefully they will make the update soon, I knwo when I made a change in 2004 it was done very quickly and the online manage my booking was updated virtually the same day.

Thanks Claire-BTW, did you prefer Yosemite or GC? I loved Yosemite more just because my tiny brain couldn't comprehend all I was seeing at GC (That and I'm really afraid of heights ;) )

Yosemite I think now that I have seen more of it than I did when I first visited in 1991. Would still love to go down in the GC though :)

It normally takes about 4 weeks for me to get invoices from Virgin! :confused3
I know you looked at VA to book your seat but have you tried viewing your booking online at Virgin Holidays? You can view your booking but you can also print an invoice from there. If you go into 'request new invoice' you can print it from there.

Hope you get it sorted soon :goodvibes

When i added DD onto our booking they charge me another £120 deposit (even though i was paying £350 direct debit every month and had paid 6 months payments). They also told me that DD would have to have her own booking reference..her invoice shows no mention of where she is staying...Virgin have assured me that DD is in our hotels. I suppose i will just have to wait and see what their never ending reams of paper say (tickets!!).

Am cheesed off with Virgin but whenever i price up Disney with another tour operator, with our 10% off, they still work out cheaper.
 
Thanks everyone for helping me get this more into perspective. I suppose the only alternative would be to dump DBf to fit in with my invoice;) :rolleyes1
 
I agree, i flew with virgin last october and the cabin crew had bad BO ll flight long and kept leaning over me to pass food to other people in my row. I understand they work long shifts but a bit of cleanliness wouldn't go amiss. Things came a climax when one "steward" spilt orange juice all over my DS which i can tell you didn't go down well!!!! To add to the matter when i complained to Mr Richard Branson i never received a reply which infuriated me further. To ts day i have heard notng from virgin or even received as much as an apology.
