Arrived at MCO from YYZ (Toronto) at 11:15pm Feb 10 - went to the Alamo rental counter and was served after about a 10 minute wait - very efficient and loved just going to the Intermediate lane and picking a car out and driving off

By the time picked up luggage, rented the car and started off it was just after midnight. DW, DS#1&2 and MIL were already at VB in a 2BR (posted a room/trip report on that one). I had a reserved Garden View Inn room on points as I did not want to wake the family up on my arrival

Arrived at VB about 1:45am or so. Was surprised that there were still 4 ressies that had not arrived yet by that time . Of course check in was fast ;) and efficient - the computer system was down for updating so could not set up room charge etc. (could have signed an imprint but did not need room charge). The CM looked at me with a feeling of pity/compassion at my half asleep/tired state and gave me a room on the 2nd floor right next to the elevators so I could get there easily :)

The room was in excellent shape - had the half fridge, microwave, sink just like a studio layout at the WDW DVC's. 2 Queen beds (in great shape), same lousy DVC pillows  and had a balcony view to the West of the resort overlooking A1A and then further the Inland Waterway etc. I thought the view was pretty good and I focused on the past A1A section.

Slept well, woke up to buy a razor and comb at the General Store and the friendly CM reminded me I might need some shaving cream with the razor  - I thanked her for that stuble (sp) remark :)

Surprised DS#1 at 0900 as he did not know I was coming down and really made his day with a round of mini-golf and an ocean walk

Another good VB stay

thanks
