Howdy, Hyenas!

I was going to post a quick note while DS4 was in the tub, but he's already clamoring for me to go wash his hair, dang it! :sad2:

Let's see, what's new...? Not much. DS8 and DH are wrapping up the winter basketball season with a final game this Saturday, and an awards lunch right after. It will be good to have that done with, since we've had a few weeks of overlap with spring little league.

I had no idea how intense little league is! The kids are almost all from DS' school, which is nice because we know most of the kids and their parents already. So far the kids are all getting along and eager to learn and play. During the first practice DS8 was grinning ear to ear, it was so cute to watch! Practices are 3 days a week, and once games start (one or two a week) they'll drop ONE of the practices. So this is a 3 or 4 day a week gig for the next several months. Good thing DS4 isn't really involved in his own sports yet, sheesh!

Did I mention DS4 is reading??? Coulda knocked me over with a feather when that happened! Anyway, he is charging through the first set of BOB books I bought. The first one, entitled MAT, reads something like this:
Mat.
Mat sat.
Sam.
Sam sat.
Mat sat on Sam.
Sam sat on Mat.
Mat sat. Sam sat.
The End

He can read the first couple books all by himself, needs a bit of prompting in a few spots in the third one, and a bit more help on the 4th one. Each book adds a few more letters/sounds to the ones learned previously. I am just stunned at how quickly he is picking this up!

OK, he's out of the tub and I've got his skin medicated and creamed, so we're off to watch a little TV before bed.

Hope you all are well and happy. (And WHAT IS WITH THIS WEATHER??? Snow yesterday, cold and sunny today, supposed to hit 50 later in the week... Is it really almost spring???)

Little League is a killer. I'm actually kind of happy that DS didn't want to play this year. It starts feeling like all you ever do is hang out at the baseball fields. At least basketball takes place when the weather is cruddy and there's not really anything else to do.

Awesome that your DS is reading. DD learned to read when she was 4 also.:thumbsup2

We've had snow, chunky rain, hail, sleet, you name it since Friday. Kinda crazy weather this year. :confused3

Oh give me a home where the Hyena roam....and the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word and the skies are not cloudy all day.

Maybe you should go inform her that you seen the co-worker rubbing her eye on only one thing in the office....the Lysol sprayer!:rotfl:

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: OMG, that would have been hilarious!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I read that Disney theme parks are down 30%. So I've gotta hand it to their marketing department, they are really trying. Guess they are going after the hard core Disney fans now.

Really? Even with the 2fer deal and the birthday deal? I thought they were still doing well.

How exciting that your DS4 is reading now! That's so awesome! We miss you Alex but I'm glad that you are doing well and that you stopped by. :grouphug:

Hyenas don't roam....we saunter....with a margarita in one hand or in Grumpy's case...rum!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Heya Pixster! What's up girl?

Hi Alison! How are you? Nothing much. I came home from work and fell asleep watching the Cosby Show. :faint: I must have been really tired. Then I woke up and went to Walgreen's and bought my favorite Arizona Georgia Peach Iced Tea and I also saw some cute disney plush easter baskets there. I took a pic of it and will upload it later.

Then I stopped at Staples to get some pens and post-its. Now I'm at home trying to figure out what to eat for dinner. Not sure what to eat. So how was your day?

I fell asleep early yesterday, think I've just been working a bit too much. I had a pretty good day, nothing exciting or interesting.

Anyway, I need to head to bed. Hope you have a good evening.:)

Goodnight Alison! :cloud9:

I've been having trouble sleeping lately, so I'm using some helpful hints my doctor gave me. No tv or computer within 45 minutes of bed time. Instead I turn on a dim light and read instead. Seems to work most nights because I'm falling asleep much faster.

 Hope you are able to sleep better. I've been reading Inkheart when I go to bed and it does help me to sleep faster. It's also better than falling asleep to Unwrapped or Ace of Cakes. :rotfl:

Good Morning! I think I'm getting sick again. My thoat hurts and I'm so stuffed up. I know a couple of ladies that went on the trip said they were feeling sick when they got home.

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. I hope you feel better. I read that one lady may have possibly been bitten by bed bugs. That's scary! :faint:

My bf is stressed out because he called the auto body shop yesterday and was told that they haven't even started on his car! :headache: His insurance company is terrible. They don't return phone calls, don't answer phone calls, it's just ridiculous. His adjuster lets all calls go straight to her voice mail. They seem very unprofessional. :sad2: His mechanic has been trying to reach the adjuster and had to call several times to get a hold of someone.

The mechanic also has been waiting for the check from his insurance company, which they did not send out as they had promised. :sad2: I don't blame my bf for being frustrated. It's already been 3 weeks and he wants his car back. He's been taking his motorcycle to work. I'm not sure what's going on with his insurance company but they are LOUSY. He plans to switch to another company once the car is completed.

When are you ladies going to learn...get the Neilmed Sinus Rinse and you won't get sick again. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

It's inexpensive, quick and easy. It will wash all those nasty germs right out of your nose. I use mine at least every other day...daily if my nose feels a little stuffy. This is now my second winter with absolutely no colds.

Got allergies...it will reduce or eliminate them.
Exposed to cold germs...it will wash them right out.

Think about it...we all wash our hands to reduce germs. Why not do the same with your nose? Germs enter our body in only a few areas...the nose is the main one. For $10 you can eliminate most of your wintertime ailments.:thumbsup2
