Your moving expenses.. or was that on the year before???

We typically do standard deduction, simple life = simple taxes. :upsidedow

My MIL had to pay someone to do her taxes ($199), I wish we had known because I bet I could have tackled it using Tubo Tax online. She also needs to pay in because she cashed out part of her 401K to cover expenses when she moved ($139). She can't pay to even file it.. darn adult children sucking money away. Grrrr.

I did my own with Turbo Tax. Plus I do my sister's and brother's. I told my mom to tell them I'm charging this year.

Unfortunately moving expenses were the year before. We had some this year - but that was after the move to Show Low - so not eligible.

My taxes are actually super easy this year - we itemize - but still easy compared to before. When I had to do the taxes using John's job expenses (including vehicle) that got to be a bit tricky :headache:

It is somewhat amazing though how many disneyland trips I have found going through our last year expenses :rolleyes1

:woohoo:

I love turbo tax - it is so much fun to watch the numbers at the top :rotfl2: I am doing my nephew's this year - definitely not going to charge him though - I would hate to see his bill to me for oil changes, cutting down trees, cutting up fire wood, babysitting, taxi service for his cousins etc. etc. etc. :faint:

My sis was telling me that she knows of families that claim medical deductions for trips to Orlando -- they claim it as "dolphin therapy" for their children with autism.

Ummmm, since that is not a medically prescribed or endorsed therapy, how long before they will get hit with a tax audit?!

Disney trips are very therapeutic and medically sound for my apraxia child :goodvibes

Yesterday when I tried to leave for lunch my car wouldn't start. I had to call AAA and they jumped it and it started but when I tried to restart it on it's own it wouldn't start. I ended up having it towed home and DBF drove me to work this morning. He's going to take the battery in to get tested today. I'm hoping that's all it is. If not then I probably need a new alternator.

Awww...that sucks :( Hopefully it's nothing major and just the battery. It may also be your starter. I had that problem with my old car. I had to replace the starter and it cost so much to replace it. :sad2:

Cool! Do you also get a day off from doing this? :sad2:

:rotfl:

Never!!! :rotfl2:

Disney trips are also very therapeautic for all of us as well. :teeth: :yay: ;)

Alrighty - big tax write off for all :rotfl:

:grouphug: Hopefully it is just the battery. Ah, that reminds me, that list for my nephew - you can add changing a battery and a tire in the snow :headache:
I will happily do his taxes :rotfl2:

My bf's car is officially in the shop getting repaired. He has a $1K deductable and then his insurance is covering the rest. I think he needs a new driver's side door, new wheels (Volk Racing, which is going to be difficult to find but the shop said they would try) and his suspension and front bumper. :faint:

Dizzy- I took our overseas guests to Turtle Talk With Crush and they thought it was really cool. :rotfl: It reminded me of the time I went with you. Oh and the swinging gondolas is being refurbished and they drained out all the water and are adding a new feature. I forgot what it was called....wonderful world of color or something like that.
