yeahhh, it was getting old, but i'm too cheap to just throw it out. it was a drumstick (ice cream cone) flavor, and i thought i'd like it, but it was just ok, not great.

A little hot fudge will fix most anything, I have found.

so i found this cute long-sleeve tshirt at osh kosh today, but they didn't have it in ds4's size, only 3t. the clerk called another store to see if they had it in 4t and they did, so they put it on hold for me. i'm going to run down there tomorrow to see if i can get it after dropping the boys off at school. and maybe do a little more shopping...

i love chocolate, but not fudge so much, it's too... sweet or rich or something. :confused3 :confused3

though i had some homemade peanut butter fudge once, and it was phenomenal! only fudge i've ever been able to eat. :lovestruc

did you see the thread with all the holiday snacks/drinks/foods at dl? i printed it out and am going to scope out several items, line the caramel apple cider. sounds so yummy!

I cant believe he is only a 4T! It seems like it has been so long since we have seen those toddler sizes.

how are you doing with Christmas shopping? I cant believe I have the beasties almost done. :cool1: I usually wait until a couple of days before hand to do it. :lmao:

i have barely started. i used to be so good at it, but i also used to get more time by myself, to go shopping. real, all-day kinda shopping. now that just doesn't ever happen, i get a few hours here or there when the kids are in school. so i can't go too far afield, or get much done in one go.

i haven't thought of a big gift for each child yet, i've picked up a few items, and a few little bitty stocking stuffer kind of things, that's about it. nothing for dh or anybody else yet, either. last year i made dh a calendar using photos of the kids; also gave my parents and his dad a copy. i'd like to do that again, but it takes time, and i'm only going to have a week or so once we get back from vacation. i wish i'd realized that before now! :lmao:

Its hard when you have a vacation planned for right around Christmas! This is our first time staying home and doing it right, so we are going all out. But we arent getting them hardly any toys. I hope they dont get upset by that! We did manage to get Alex some of the coveted Bakugan though. :banana:

we have never gone on vacation this time of year, or even in november! so i just didn't plan it out very well, i guess. i realized the other day that we shouldn't get a tree before we go (we normally don't get it until mid-december anyway), but will have to scramble to get one as soon as we get back! :eek:

what is bakugan? What are peanut butter balls?

:scared1: your son isnt asking for Bakugan?? omg. It is the IT toy this year. ALL the kids have to have it. :rolleyes: They are some kind of game thing.. Like Pokemon, and they have these little balls that turn into figures. :confused3 I dont get it.. But Alex wants them.. NEEDS them. HAS TO HAVE them. :lmao: We went to the store and bought a little package.. But they are HARD to find. Everyone is out.

Peanut butter balls are little balls of peanut butter deliciousness dipped in chocolate. YUM. Very rich, but so tasty!

I thought we had gotten away without him knowing about them.. Until he came home from school one day, and his little friend had some, so he needed them. it doesnt help that Frelan thinks they are cool too. :lmao: :lmao:

Kinda! The persian squares are the biggest hit though. I have never met someone who didnt like them. :cool1:

Okay.. Time for me to hit the hay. Not that I sleep any more, but at least I get some reading in. :rolleyes:

awwww. :hug:

yeah, i need to get to bed, too; else mama ain't so happy in the morning. the kids were real hard to wake this morning, and ds8 told me, "Mama, sometimes my brother keeps me awake until 11;00..." (DS was sleeping on the floor in Ds8's room, so dh moved his mattress in there since they both enjoyed sleeping in the same room.)

Hmm...who to send the magazine to....

Megan..so she can panic over what she will be dealing with in a few short years.

Bernice - so she can realize that stinky boy socks and farts really aren't that bad.

Albort - so he can drool over Vanessa's pics.

Pix - so she can laugh at all of us that have kids and know what we are dealing with while she is at the mall.

Melody - so she can sit down and scratch her head and wonder when she ordered the magazine and when she'll ever have time to stop and read it.

Gina - so she can send in a change of address card and have it put in her DS's name as a joke.

Alex - so she can have something to roll up and swat swinging chandelier boy down with.

Oh the possiblities are endless.:rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: You know us all so well :laughing: :goodvibes

My rule of thumb...if they are too little they won't get it or be bothered by it. If they are old enough to understand it then they've already heard about it at school. If they have a puzzled look on their face or question something just say "beats me, go ask your Dad".;) :rotfl2:

Sounds about right.
My sis wasn't letting her 15 yr old have mature rated video games.. we ummm gave him some without realizing the rule :rolleyes1 But c'mon! He's old enough to go to a PG13 movie on his own , isn't that close enough to Mature for video games?

Auntie and Uncle can give him whatever we want :angel: :upsidedow

Good Morning Ladies!

Megan, Did you see the ones at Costco? You got the Arena plus about 4-6 ball things and the animal looking things i think. Anyways, if my grandsons had been older, I would have bought it for them.

Tell me what you think of the it after you have played with them.:banana:

My dear friends ,

Somewhat embarrassing to admit, Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below.

How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:

You need four maxi pads to make a pair.
Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.
Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.

These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags.

Awaiting your response. It's crucial that I get the right size for each one of you.
