Can you use bubble bath in the whirlpool tubs?

The friend that may swing by for a few days on our reservation told us that when they installed the whirpool tub that bubbles were a big no-no for the jets and that it could ruin them?

I wasn't sure if that applied to the exact type of tub they got, or if that is the same for all whirlpool tubs...

Thanks!

I believe it would cause a mountain and waterfall of bubbles all over the bathroom and possibly other rooms.

I use some bubble bath at home. (And I'm a stickler for reading and following instructions) It may depend on how much air is added into the jet mixture, but definately start with less bubbles! (same reason you never use dishwasher detergent in a dishwasher)

You do not want to add any bubble bath into a hot tub (That has a filter and you do not drain the water after every use) bubble bath may mess up the filter, and it never completely goes away.

I'm pretty sure bubbles are a no no in all whirl tubs. I've used a little bit, but watch out because you really can make a bubble wall. When at home, after a bubble bath we always rinse the tub out really well to make sure there's no residue and then run the jets in a clean water cycle. If left in there it can rot the jets.

It's all whirlpool tubs.
You can buy some stuff (it doesn't really make many bubbles) that is safe for whirlpools. Just look at the package - it should say that it's whirlpool safe.

Yep, be sure it's whirlpool safe bubble bath. We have owned whirlpools for 30+ years, and I remember what happened when my kids used regular bubble bath once! The upstairs bath sent bubbles all the way down the stairs to the family room!:lmao:

OMG I cannot imagine what a sight that must have been!:scared1:

Seriously? :scared1: Oh jeez, I had no idea there was such a thing as whirlpool safe bubble bath. I hop in there every night of the trip with regular bubble bath. I never even thought twice. I don't have a whirlpool and don't know anyone who has one. I hope I never broke one.

Actually, the problem with bubble bath other than too many bubbles is that some have oils in them that clog up the jets and hoses, and make it difficult to clean for the next guest. When we hear of folks complaining here about there being a "brown residue" floating on the water after they have run the jets, it is likely partially because someone used bath oil beads or something of that nature. ...Or....Maybe they were just extra dirty and it's old dead sckin cells floating around!;)

Sure you can. Just warn me so I can leave first!!

Just open the sliding door so everyone can see the fun.
