Another trip? Am I crazy?

I've booked the plane tickets because worst case scenario they become vouchers again if we cancel. I called MS and they have several studios available but I'm still nervous to book. I have an August UY and if we book and then decide after March 31 not to go then I can't bank my points and we'd have to find another time to go (I know, I wish all problems could be so fun!) So I'm waiting a few more days to see if we still want to go or if this is just an impulsive thing. You know, got back a week and a half ago....having withdrawal symptoms....need to go back type of thing.

Oh I'm sorry you misunderstood the first 20 posts:confused: ...I'll use a visual aid.

Ha ha! I love it! Hey how do I post pictures! I'm trying to write my trip report about our last trip and I don't know how to post any pictures!

you can edit/resize them and then upload them to photobucket.com. Once they are there you can click insert link above your post and paste the address of the photobucket file.
Or you can steal a link to a pic from yahoo images like I just did...:rolleyes1

We're considering going for 4 days in May. Am I nuts or what?

Would you go?

DEFINTELY, YES!! :cool1:

Why are you piddling around about this?!

Do you have time off from work?
Do you have the money to eat there?
Are you not living in an old folk's home eating through a straw?

There are a lot of things you'll regret in life... going to bed angry, spending too much time at work, eating that last donut. What you won't regret is having one more adventure with your sweetie.

Look, I watched my mom die of breast cancer. And before she was diagnosed, she put off a lot of time spent with my dad because work, housecleaning and something else humdrum always seemed more important. When her doctor diagnosed her, his first prescription was for her to go out and enjoy her family and her life.

She retired from her job, added on that nice sun room to enjoy her home and just after Christmas when the winter doldrums hit she got bit by the travel bug. My dad got one of those timeshare preview offers from Marriott. 4 days in Orlando. He hemmed about it for about an hour while my mom was planning what to pack. And when they did the preview and realized owning timeshares meant taking a vacation every year together, and possibly with family, my mom was the first to pull out the pen to sign. Because of her, my whole family seemed to find a life outside work and obligation. Now our only regrets are that she is no longer here to enjoy it with us.

So as long as you won't be homeless, starved or penniless, stop sweating it. At the very worst, you can book the SSR room now and cancel without penalty in two weeks when the nonexistent blush wears off.

Thanks!!

My Dfiance is about to kill me because the quick short trip for the two of us might have just turned into a trip for four. Oops! I invited my best friend and his girlfriend to come with us. I have two one day park hoppers that expire in July...someone needs to use them! I know I said four in a studio is too cramped...but it's only for four days. Oops!

I guess I'm just in shock for a few reasons:

1. We just got back....twice in 2 months?
2. It's so affordable because of the AP's, the points, the voucher and the DDE card
3. That we actually have enough points to go now, Dec and Feb!

I'm just so suprised that it is actually possible! Plus, I used to be in credit debt and this seems like an impulsive thing....but it's cash.

We leave Sat and are going for 5 nights with lots of family. We'll be back just a day less than 4 weeks later for another 5 nights, just DH and me. Would I go twice in two months? In a hearbeat! Go!

Yup we're calling MS tomorrow. Why not go. Life's short! We have the time off, we have the money. Sure we could put some work into the house, but that can be done during the summer when we both earn more. (yes I make more at the day camp I work at than at the middle school!) Now how to get around the best friend maybe coming....

I guess by now you know that there are a lot of crazies out there. If I could, I would.

Well you could start by keeping your trap shut. ;) I'm assuming your excitement over going bubbled over into a conversation with the best friend. It's hard to deny that sort of excitement. But if you stop talking about it, then maybe the friend will forget.

Or else, you can just live with the company. Sometimes it works out for the better having others along. When it doesn't it is because someone is waiting around for someone else but doesn't feel comfortable saying anything about it.

Definitely go! We went this past December, last week of February, we're going in April, and then have a trip planned in December. Since money isn't an issue for you, you clearly love going, and 4 nights is enough time to relax and see what you want if you aren't deadset on seeing every single attraction, then it sounds like a great opportunity to me! Hehe, as I'm writing this, a tv commercial advertising WDW just came on the screen. :rotfl2: Look at it this way: go as many times as you can right now because you never know if work or a busy schedule will prevent you from going for a year or more. :thumbsup2

Ha ha! Are you sure you're not my Dfiance? That's what he said! In reality we had talked about the four of us going when he started dating her in Dec. We do a lot together. Dfiance is no longer upset (he actually has a great time with my best friend) He's worried that his girlfriend might be a bit of a pain!

So after all this we have the airfare booked at 179pp we get a DING today. Thankfully we had book two one way tickets so now we are down to 137pp with $85 in southwest vouchers to spare!  I take this as a sig that we should definitely go, until I call MS at first she has nothing for me. Oops she is looking in the wrong month! There it is, found SSR. As we're booking....my phone dies! Darn it! After being on hold for 15 mins!!

Definitely do not let your fiance take his girlfriend. I may be a bit of a prude here, but I don't think you should have to put up with your fiance's girlfriend at all. Gee Whiz! What happens to that relationship when you guys get married?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Y'all have fun!
