Why are you piddling around about this?!
Do you have time off from work?
Do you have the money to eat there?
Are you not living in an old folk's home eating through a straw?
There are a lot of things you'll regret in life... going to bed angry, spending too much time at work, eating that last donut. What you won't regret is having one more adventure with your sweetie.
Look, I watched my mom die of breast cancer. And before she was diagnosed, she put off a lot of time spent with my dad because work, housecleaning and something else humdrum always seemed more important. When her doctor diagnosed her, his first prescription was for her to go out and enjoy her family and her life.
She retired from her job, added on that nice sun room to enjoy her home and just after Christmas when the winter doldrums hit she got bit by the travel bug. My dad got one of those timeshare preview offers from Marriott. 4 days in Orlando. He hemmed about it for about an hour while my mom was planning what to pack. And when they did the preview and realized owning timeshares meant taking a vacation every year together, and possibly with family, my mom was the first to pull out the pen to sign. Because of her, my whole family seemed to find a life outside work and obligation. Now our only regrets are that she is no longer here to enjoy it with us.
So as long as you won't be homeless, starved or penniless, stop sweating it. At the very worst, you can book the SSR room now and cancel without penalty in two weeks when the nonexistent blush wears off.
