OK I was SO grossed out by the barefoot people at the rest stop! EWWW! I would've given them a dirty look, LOL! I also love ice machines - that is so funny! I think all Pizza Hut's are gross, but I laughed out loud when your mom said the lady behind the counter had no teeth, hahahahaha! I live in a pretty nice area, but our Pizza Hut is gross. One time I ate there and my mom made me order milk and it was SPOILED by a long time. It was SO GROSS!

How scary about Oreo getting sick! I am such a hypochondriac when it comes to myself, but when it comes to our dog I'm even worse! I can't imagine how you felt when you tried to figure out what was wrong. At least you found a place to go had something been really wrong - I'm sure that gave you a little peace of mind! Glad the little pup is OK!

It sounds like a good time so far, I was going to drive down in October but now have a real job so I cannot.

Will be back in 2 weeks to catch up, leave for Europe on Thursday.

Photobucket apparently is doing maintenance, so I can't see about half your pics -BUT, I wanted to get caught up before I leave tomorrow!

I'm sorry the ride was so uncomfortable, ugh! I can only imagine the relief you felt as you got into Orlando and closer to your condo. I've been cooped up in a car for a long time like that, uncomfortable and miserable and I remember as soon as the car stopped I lunged out!! But glad you made it!!!!

What made the barefootness even weirder was that it was pouring out and they were all dressed really nice. Gross. And the Pizza Huts around here aren't great either. We hadn't had it in years before this but we figured we'd go for it since we had the gift card. Never again!

There had been a clicker in the condo that was supposed to be used to open the gate at the back entrance to the resort, but on our way back it didn't work. We drove around to the front and asked the security guard about it, and he said to try it again and then to get it reprogrammed in the clubhouse if it didn't work. No problem. We unpacked all the stuff we bought and I was exhausted and achy so I relaxed in bed for a while. It poured for a good hour before it cleared up and got nice out. Don't you love Florida weather?!

At 7:00 we were finally all settled in and decided to go for dinner. I had found out about The Loop before we left, a new shopping center around the corner from our end of 192. There were a lot of restaurants so we drove over there, but were nervous along the way. We seemed to be going out of the way and didn't know what to expect. We considered turning back and going to a restaurant along 192 but we so glad that we kept going... The Loop was great! It was a huge shopping complex with stores, restaurants and specialty shops. It was all gorgeous and clean, and the palm trees were really pretty. We loved it.

Our plans had been to eat at Chili's since they had the 2-For-$20 special so we headed over there. The place was packed - there was at least an hour wait. Oy. We decided to forget it and just go next door to the Macaroni Grill, which we'd heard of but never been to. It was the best decision we could've made - the place was great! The restaurant was so much nicer than Chili's. It was dark in there with soft lighting from pretty hanging lamps and light fixtures, there was Italian music playing and chefs cooking in a giant show kitchen.

Our waitress was great and always brought us refills without having to ask, and told us all about the wine on the honor system although we passed. We ordered and got our bread with garlic and oil, and the food came out quickly. My dad, Mike and I all got the three course meal for only $12 each. I got Caesar salad, the fettuccine Alfredo and chocolate cake, while my dad and Mike got Ceasar salad, the Pollo Limone Rustuca (grilled chicken sauteed with imported penne pasta in a lemon-basil sauce with fresh spinach, roasted red peppers, topped with fresh lemon zest and baked until golden) and chocolate cake. My mom got the mushroom raviolis and added a salad, and shared my chocolate cake with me. The food was delish and it was a really good experience. I also loved the Italian language lessons in the bathroom... too funny.

Done with dinner, we walked over to the CVS in The Loop. We picked up three hand soaps and some hot cups for the condo, and the guy at the counter was really nice and was going to give us a discount without mom's CVS card until she found it. Then we headed back to the condo, where I was still exhausted and sore but I decided to go with my mom and dad to walk Oreo while Mike watched TV. I got a few feet in front of the condo before something bit my foot and freaked me out! It was a bug of some sort and it burned like crazy, and then got really itchy within the next few days. Ugh! I ran back to the condo to put some allergy medicine on it and then I lounged in my room and watched some of The Incredibles on the Disney Channel.

When my mom and dad got back we all hung out in the living room for a while. Mike played solitaire, my mom went on the computer, and my dad and I watched an episode of Dirty Sexy Money while I went on my netbook.

I went up to bed at 11:00. The bed was really comfy, and myroom was right near a street light which acted as a soft nighlight. I fell asleep quickly.
