Another transfer and banking question ...

We have two separate contracts, the first with a UY of April and the second with a UY of September. For our April 2007 UY we have some points which we would like to transfer to our second contract. If we transfer them prior to September, can they then be banked into September 2007 UY? Or would it be better to leave the transfer until September 2007?

Points retain their UY even when transfered.

You can transfer your April, 2007 points into your September, 2007 Use Year. I don't think MS will allow you to transfer them into your September, 2006 UY anyway - but even if they did, you could then bank them anyway. You should be able to do that right now.

MS is supposed to transfer points into the same Use Year - regardless of the month - 2006 points into another 2006 Use Year, 2007 points into another 2007 Use Year.

Don't forget though that this transfer would use up the option for both accounts for this Use Year.

Thanks Doc - great answer. I realise about the "only once" transfer applying to both contracts. We want to visit WDW at Easter 2009 and so will be booking in May 2008. So it all works out quite well.

Wilderness Dad - you were right. I must have just got lucky in the past.

So, for us, it's a case of use them or lose them. So we'll be trying to rent them out.
