Taking a quick 3 day wonder trip (#2 :D ) But just did one, and found we spent alot of time, dressing for dinner, and being at dinner. Being 2 adults we "know" we have 2nd seating (again) and want to do more things this time, instead of just dinner. SO if you don't plan on eating in dinning room, other that 1st nite, we will probably just catch fast food at the pool areas or get something at the bar areas to eat. How does this reflect in your tipping? Don't want to be stingy or incorrect  .

Just want to get to the stuff we didn't have time to do, OR never got around to it.

Thanks, MKY princess:

You are still expected to tip your servers even if you don't show for dinner. They rely on this money (they only make $50 per month otherwise) Plus, you are really tipping them for all of the work they do at breakfast (in Topsiders, Tritons, or Parrot Cay) or during lunch (at Topsiders, Tritons, Parrot Cay or Cookies).....You may not see your actual server those days, but rest assured they are running their butts off to make sure you have everything you need.

Budget your costs into the cruise costs and give them what they deserve.

Or....don't get so fancy at dinner.....Typically I threw on some capri's or a simple dress and was good to do in a very short time. :)

Thanks for the reply,

No, our problem was not "getting fancy" it was TOO SOCIAL! at dinner. We had the best table mates. :grouphug: And were frequently the last ones in the dinning room by time we got out, we missed most other activities, or places were too crowded. :smooth: Limiting our options. :earseek:

Also, We were such novices we never ate B or L on the ship ( never do here) so didn't really think about it. Got up to late. Just thought they had those places for fast food, for that. (duh) I think I need to read my passporter again.

Well your answer was what I was planning, so no problem.

Thanks, Mky princess:

How about this cruise, if you have TOO SOCIAL table mates, suggesting that you all eat a little faster and take in one of the after dinner activities together. Your servers will help you if you tell them you want to be out by 9:45 to catch the act in Rockin Bar D for example.
