Leaving in 2 weeks, this will be our 13th trip. BUT we are staying off property this time and expect larger crowds than we usually see (Mardi Gras week vs 1st week December). Would TGM be worth the $$ especially with no EMH affordable to us as off property? Or will I just be overwhelmed? TIA

We usually go to Disney for Mardi Gras. The crowds are always nice. Not too overcrowded. The only time that DW is crazy for Mardi Gras is when it falls the same week as President's Week. It is the week before Mardi Gras this year. You also will have less crowds this year. In St. Tammany Parish the kids are not giving the whole week off this year. Just Monday and Tuesday. I had a trip planned this year (pre Katrina) and had to cancel. You should do fine. Have fun.

Tourguide mike's least crowded information is for both on site and off site people. He tells you about every emh for every single day of the year, and evaluates it so you can tell if your family will benefit from it (obviously off site will never benefit directly, but indirectly, yippee) Its never 'always go' or 'never go' because there are so many other things that impact on crowds (like holidays, peak season, special events, and other things) Each day, and each family are individual cases, and he tells you how to figure out whats best for you.

It's very easy to either incorportate EMH into your tour plan, or avoid it, depending on the ages of your group, onsite/offsite status, ect.

:thumbsup2 TGM has great info. we are going this year over Memorial Day weekend and we've only ever been before during Sept. and once mid-May. Like the above poster said his touring advice is for WDW resort guests and off-site because EMH really effects crowd levels. I think TGM is well worth the money, it's not any more expensive than a guide book and has more resources.

okay, i've signed up but now im really confused...how do i navigate? :confused3

:teacher:
1 enter the dates of your trip
2. Make sure that you enter offsite hotel
3. go to your month's express planner ( February?)
4. Scroll down until you see My Intinerary
5. Click on Feb 16-28 least crowded parks
6.Plan according to Mike's recommendations.
Ordinarily, I would suggest reading through the whole site but you're pressed
for time.

On the same page as the least crowded parks in the left column(categories), scroll until you see step 6. These are sample plans for each park. You can click on the one that suits your needs.Good Luck and have great time- you can't go wrong folloing Mike's plans! pixiedust:

:sunny: We are going in June, staying off-property and signed up for TGM. You have a shorter time to prepare and you will probably feel overwhelmed trying to comprehend all the links and info at the site in that amount of time. Printing stuff out will help you. Also when you read through his sample tours have a map of the park handy. It helps a great deal (atleast for me it did). I also have the UG (and countless others) but I felt I learned more from TGM than the others.
