Ok, I would really love details on how this works.
It seems like some people say they have gotten all kinds of info and then others say they get tips JUST for one trip on one date.
I am only a few hours away and our trips are normaly spur of the monet for 1 - 2 days and on a seriouse budget.
Can anyone tell me if the high cost of TGM mike is something that can be spread out to more then one visit? Also what other info do you get other then what rides to do , when?
Thanks for any help.

I am not to sure why you say "high cost". With the discount it is not that much more than most tour guide books. His site has alot of useful information for people who are really looking to maximize their time at WDW. I do not think you would be sorry if you get it.

Like the previous poster said, "high cost" isn't really the case, IMO. For the amount of info you get for under $20 it's well worth the cost. (If you figure a 5 day trip is worth $2000, then $20 to plan for that trip is pretty cheap.)

If you take a number of small trips throughout the year, you could probably get more than one trip out of TGM. Your subscription is good for 60 days beyond your return date of the trip dates you provide for him. Once you log in, every bit of information is available to you...and it's a LOT of info. What rides to go on when is a pretty small sliver of what Mike provides to make your vacation better.

Take the plunge, I don't think you'll be dissappointed.

There are reportedly a few things in the works at Mike's site. Yes, it's currently set up on a trip-by-trip basis but I know he's been asking members how they would feel about an annual membership option for people like yourself who may go several time a year. The flip side to this are the people who join now for a trip in the distant future. People who are going in 2007+ can join now and pay their one-time fee to have access right up to and through their trip (plus 60 days after their trip). For some, obviously the first scenerio is a winner, for others it's the second option which works in their favor.

I'm glad you wrote that. When you purchase it, you are asked for dates. So I guess it's not really set up for spur of the moment trips, although you do get discounts if you have used the site before that year, and a further discount if you have used it more than twice in a year.

I never spend $2,00 on a trip :)

Thank you that info helped a great deal.

I am going in late October 2007......I made the decision to join TGM because life has gotten a lot busier than it was for me during the last few years when we had WDW trips to plan. I gave TGM my dates, but in all honesty, I have no idea if we are really going then or not. I hope to go then because I really want to turn 40 at WDW....otherwise it's going to be a bummer of a day.

I think that I have a pretty good grasp on the parks and park touring. I know all the rides and park layouts. I know all about ADR's and special activities planning. Basically, all my friends think of me as the Disney freak.....in loving terms of course. :p A lot of what I have read is stuff that I already know. There are a few ideas on park touring that I can see would make sense and some of the tips are things that we naturally do anyway. To me, the plans seem a little commando.....I like to ride rides, but our next trip is just for us.....no extra FL family or friends are supposed to be invited this time. I want my birthday trip to be just for me and Gabby. So, I am looking for a more relaxed pace and some special things to be thrown in like MNSSHP and maybe a Haunted Hayride over at FW.

Being that we have more than a year to go.....I have faith that TGM will be worth the money. It's just going to take some time to read through it all. For a newbie....it would be a really great site to get you into the whole "Going to Disney World" mentality and help you get your ducks in a row. I think for a newbie that it's worth the money.....and most likely for me too in that it's going to cut down on my research time. Maggie

I think you could definitly benefit. The only thing you wouldn't benefit from (which is in a way the biggie) is his best days to go. But Mike gives you the whys of what he does so you could incorporate that into your plans and get some ideas. I thought I knew a lot but he really has some great tips!
