Another Survivor Question - not Guatemala specific

I found this blurb on IMDB.com. If they weren't voted off, how were they eliminated?? I have never watched survivor except an episode or two...


Bobby Jon Drinkard became the eighth "Survivor" contestant in history (and the third in the Palau edition) to be eliminated from the game without being voted off by a Tribal Council. Others so far have been Michael Skupin, Paschal English, Osten Taylor, Jenna Morasca, Susan Hawk, Jonathan Libby, and Wanda Shirk.

Bobbi Jon and Steph were the only two left in the tribe so they would have just voted for each other so instead they had a challenge. The first one to make fire won - which was Steph.

Not sure if I'm right, but since it was only Steph & Bobby Jon left on their team, they couldn't have a vote, so they had a challenge. Bobby Jon lost the challenge.

Wanda and Jonathan, I believe were sent home before the game even started.

Michael s. - burnt his hands and had to be air lifted out
Jenna - quit - mom was dying

I can tell you how some of them were:

Bobby John: he and Steph were the only two remaining on their tribe, so at tribal counsel they had a contest to see who could build a fire the fastest and he lost.

Michael Skupin: he fell into a fire and got severely hurt and had to leave the game

Pachal English: there was a tie during tribal counsel that could not be broken, so the remaining players had to draw rocks and he picked the purple rock, which caused him to leave the game (I believe it was purple)

Osten Taylor: he quit the game

I'm not sure about the others

I totally forgot about Survivor Allstars. I was saying to myself Jenna won and I know Sue make it to the final 4. Now I remember, it was during the Allstar game that they had quit, duh.

Actually, I do remember that. I remember there being hype around the episode and i watched some of it.

Once they all got on the island the two people who got there first were the team captains and they each had to pick 8 people, but there was 18 to chose from, leaving Wanda and Jonathon with no team to go to.

Jonathan and Wanda were sent home on the first show because they picked their own tribes and those two didn't get picked. There were 2 extra players so two had to go on the first show.

That, IMO, was the worst idea in Survivor history! Why bring them in the first place??

Oh, I totally agree. That really ticked me off. Granted, Wanda was annoying, but can you imagine being picked for Survivor only to be not allowed to play the game. I thought that was so wrong.

I was confused about Jenna and Sue too, until I remembered the All-Stars edition. Jenna left because her mom was really sick. Sue quit because Richard's *body part* touched her during a challenge and she was too upset to continue.

Jenna won the first time she played.

Then she came back for All-Stars edition. Then she quit because she had a 'feeling' her mom was dying. She went home, and her mom died 3 days later....
