Another Southwest Question

I was able to do this last year (got $200 in vouchers), but I'm not sure if Southwest does this as a "general rule." My airfare (that I booked several month's ago) has dropped over $100 in total. For me, this is a single round trip ticket to Orlando from Buffalo. Just wondering if anyone knows if they do offer vouchers regularly if you airfare drops once you purchase it. Second question, if so, is there a deadline as to when you can get these vouchers? We fly in 9 days and as of this morning, the savings I noted was based on our "exact" flights.

Any help is much appreciated. Whew Hoo--single digits and counting!!!!!!!!1

SWA does not issue vouchers, per se. They issue credit to be used within one year of original purchase.
You can call SWA and they will tell you how to cancel and rebook, or perhaps, they will do it for you. Unlike other airlines, your flights do not have to match.

When I did this last year, I had to cacel one flight and rebook it for the lower price. It was simple and loved saving the money!

we did it all in one easy visit to the SWA web site...cancelled the old. got a credit for that amount. made the new. used the credit received from the cancellation...all self guided on their site. piece of cake

Thanks everyone for your help. It was actually as easy as everyone said. I called first thing this morning. I cancelled my existing flights and rebooked the exact same flights saving $125. This time, we received a credit back on my charge card. The last time, I had one year from the time I initially booked to use the balance of the funds. That made me doublely happy!!!! (My husband prefers it this way--then I don't think there's a need to make a second or third trip--LOL!)
