i literally wore through my crocs and had to throw them out, bought 2 news pairs and have been wearing them everyday, and they are tearing my feet apart. i don't wanna wear sneakers cuz they make my feet too hot in the humidity. so now i'm looking as either a pair of birkenstocks or a pair of bass sandals. i'm leaning towards the birks, but i'm concerned about my foot sliding out. does any one wear these to the parks? we're leaving in 20 days so i really gotta make up my mind. i keep buying shoes that feel good in the store but after a day of chasing the kids my feet are killing me, any suggestions?

I love my Bass sandals. I have gotten Bass sandals the last three times I have bought sandals. They usually last a while. I wear them for two years (march- Sept) then usually buy new ones. I wore them to WDW last year and wear them to my local amusement park which we have passes to. I do not have any problems with them. I have two kids to chase after, too. :)

I love my Teva Ventura Cork sandals. I've walked miles at Disney with them without a blister, they have a nice grip (both on my feet and the floor), and the cork/rubber sole cushions nicely. Now they are not cheap (70$), but quite affordable.

Just got back from our two week trip. I purchased these a few weeks ago specifically for our trip. OMG I LOVE THESE!!!!! I got the wedge style because of the 2 inch heel. FANTASTIC sandal. My feel did not hurt even after walking all day long. I had no idea that the cork foot bed would be so fabulous. I am buying them in different colors because they rock so much.

I hate Birks of any level at the park. I have worn all of their brand names like Papillo into the parks. It never makes a difference. Columbias are a moderate sandal for the park. They give good ankle and foot support for a sandle but I find Riekers to be more cushioned. They cost about the same as a high end Birk but they are like walking on little pillows. If you know your N European size they run very true to size. I typically wear a 40 and their 40s are a perfect fit. I wear a 9 here in normal American shoes. Also it does not take much to break them in. Really look for something that securely straps around your foot so that it wont come loose. That is how I injure myself most often.

Also while I dont normal recommend buying shoes without trying them on, if you feel like living in the edge Amazon has Riekers on sale big time. They are marked half off and then I got an additional 25% off. So where I normally pay $100 a pair on average. I got two pairs for $75 this weekend. Yeah I was thrilled. I know how they feel and wear though.

Tevas make the most comfortable, durable sandals -- they are ideal for WDW touring (and we've especially appreciated them when those mid-day showers hit). None of us have ever had a blister or any other issues when wearing our Tevas all day at the parks! :thumbsup2

I also have a pair of more attractive sandals, from 'Simple' shoes, that I like to wear when I dress up a bit more for dinner and evening touring. When it comes to a sneaker style shoe (we wear these at home year 'round, and at WDW when visiting during the cooler months), our family all swear by our Sketchers. I have a pair from Bass that I like also, but the Sketchers are definitely better made walking/hiking shoes for when you will be spending a great deal of time on your feet.
