hi everyone

have found a couple of threads on here about applying to be a shareholder and although all the info in them is very helpful i was wondering if you guys (since you're the experts lol) think it would be worth my while doing it? :confused3

we travel for 7 nights and 8 days on the 28th of june this year and will be eating at at least one table/buffet service restaurant per day.we went last year and although i didnt go mad on the souveniers there are things i know i want already (the rapunzel dress that carriecat posted pics of for one :rotfl:)

on this trip there will be myself,my mum and my 5 yo dd do you think it would be worth joining the shareholders club bearing this info in mind?i am also hoping to return next year for the 20th celebrations if that helps.

any advice greatly received xx

BANG!!! :lmao:
Only joking. I definately think its worthwhile but you'll have to get your skates on as it can take 6 weeks to get your card but you can be issued a temporary one.
Theres definately potencial for saving the price of your shares/membership especially with your June trip being long and your plans to go next year.
Thumbs up from me :thumbsup2

I think if you are going for that length of time then yes by buying the minimum 5 shares & pay the €30 fee.

If you are eating at least 1 sit down meal a day thats very roughly €40-50 (buffets) so that equates to €400. The shareholders discount will give you €60 saving on meals.

Buying 5 shares at €8 each (what they are were last trading at) = €40 + €30 membership fee €70 + trading fee roughly £15.

On meals alone you have almost saved what you have spent to purchase the shares. Plus you will had the chance to use Salon Mickey in the morning & get a free drink & pastry for 5 times per month.

Then you will get 15% on merchandise.

The membership lasts for 2 years before needing to be renewed so you will benefit from it next year

if you buy the minimum 5 shares that would cost around 40 euros at today's share price. You'll have a dealers buying fee of around £18, then another 30 euros admin fee to join the shareholders club and get your clubcard. So around £85 altogether, this covers you for 2 years as a shareholder, and gives you all the benefits of a shareholder.
Even if you don't buy any more shares, you can renew your shareholders membership every 2 years with your 5 shares for 30 euros.

So, now you need to work out if you'll get more than £85 worth out of your shares in the next 2 years. If you're buying annual passes you've got 15% straight discount there, plus your meals at 15% discount. Plus 10% discount on anything you buy instore at Disney Stores UK.

Dream Passes will give you better discount on your souvenir shopping than shareholders.

edited to add - I see you are staying onsite this time, so will have park tickets included - so your shareholders discount would be 15% on your souvenir shopping too.
